What You'll Be Doing:

• Architecting AI-Driven Automation: Lead the design and architecture of highly scalable, secure, and resilient AI-powered automation platforms and solutions that eliminate manual operations across Citi's global technology landscape.

• Driving Innovation & Strategy: Pioneer the adoption of advanced AI/ML techniques and emerging technologies to solve complex business problems, define technical roadmaps, and influence the strategic direction of AI-driven development and process automation.

• Expert Hands-On Development: Dive deep into the code to build, optimize, and improve critical AI/ML models, automation frameworks, and integration points, ensuring robustness and efficiency at an expert level.

• Mentorship & Best Practices: Champion modern software development, MLOps, and DevSecOps best practices. Mentor senior and junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and secure-by-design principles.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate extensively with various engineering teams, product managers, and business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, translate complex requirements into technical solutions, and drive successful AI implementation.

• Continuous Learning & Influence: Stay at the forefront of AI, machine learning, and automation trends. Evaluate new technologies, contribute to open-source initiatives, and share knowledge to elevate the entire engineering organization.

What We're Looking For:

• Architectural Visionary: Proven experience in architecting and delivering complex solutions, with a deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices.

• Polyglot Expert: Expert-level proficiency in at least one of Python (for AI/ML), Go, or Java, coupled with strong experience in modern software engineering principles. Familiarity with or experience in other relevant languages, including JavaScript and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) for UI development, is highly valued.

• AI/ML Depth: Understanding of various AI/ML solutions, and their application to process automation, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics.

• System Integration & APIs: Expert in designing and implementing robust REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and integrating diverse systems using message queues (e.g., Kafka).

• Strategic Team Player: A strong leader and collaborator who thrives in complex, multi-team environments, capable of influencing technical direction and fostering innovation.

• Continuous Learner: Passionate about learning and staying current with the rapidly evolving AI and automation landscape, eager to apply new knowledge to real-world challenges.
