Team/Role Overview:
The Risk Chief Administrative Office provides support to the Risk organization with a focus on governance, control effectiveness, regulatory engagement, risk communications, and financial performance including resource management.
The Resource and Business Management team within the Risk CAO has strategic and operational responsibilities to support the Citi Chief Risk Officer and the Independent Risk organization to achieve its priorities and liaise with HR, Finance, O&T, ESPA and all Risk CROs by managing resources, accountability, business and strategic planning and analysis, resilience, and overall business office management.
The role: The Business Office is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to be responsible for Independent Risk's Enterprise Resilience and Business Execution Lead support, as well as contributing to cross-risk special projects. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence, and negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
Key Responsibilities:
The position requires a candidate with general management skills, leadership abilities and administrative experience, who can manage and lead a variety of activities geared at helping manage a global organization with resources and providing data & analytics solutions to all regions and lines of businesses. This includes building ties with other business teams. The individual will be a direct report to the Global Consumer Services Head of Data & Analytics while working closely with the senior Decision Management leadership in their planning, definition and execution of organizational strategy.
Act as the Business Recovery Coordinator (BRC) to lead, own, and coordinate the Continuity of Business process for all of Independent Risk. This requires partnership with the central Enterprise Resilience team. Ownership includes leading the annual process to update or create COB plans, as well as ad hoc requests for updates throughout the year. The BRC will lead the Risk Segment points of contact to successfully execute COB plans and will provide training as needed.
Act as the Business Execution Lead support for Risk
Contribute to and lead issue remediation
Contribute to the MCA Monitoring for COB controls.
Support and coordinate critical Business Office projects and ad hoc projects as necessary
Actively participate in Resource and Business Management meetings
Utilize Citi Control systems, including, but not limited to: Fusion, InControl, Manager’s Control Assessment (MCA), Integrated Corrective Action Plan System (iCAPS)
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Skills and Qualifications:
8+ years or relevant experience in financial services industry
Expertise in Continuity of Business to provide guidance to stakeholders and ensure compliance with policy requirements
Exceptionally strong interpersonal and people management skills and ability to interact with all levels of management, particularly at the Director and Managing Director level
Prior experience in reporting utilizing Excel and PowerPoint, strongly preferred
Proven project management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively and promptly
Familiarity with Citi’s Control systems, in particular, Fusion/COBTRAC, MCA, iCAPS
Education:
Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
