Team/Role Overview

This trainee professional role is ideal for individuals eager to develop expertise in the intricate world of corporate actions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of significant financial events.

Focus Area: Corporate Action Event Creation

In this role, you will be primarily focused on the critical aspects of corporate action event creation, including:

• Managing Corporate Action Events: Reconciling and processing positions related to various Corporate Action events.
• Event Notifications and Communication: Revising and facilitating communications and notifications for Corporate Action events.
• Research and Resolution: Researching and resolving discrepancies within global event creation standards.
• Process Improvement: Identifying process gaps and making suggestions to support the streamlining of related work processes, particularly in event creation.
• Risk Minimization: Understanding and monitoring errors to suggest solutions that reduce risk to the bank through adherence to audit and control policies.

Key Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

• Reviewing all Voluntary Corporate Action events received to ensure detailed understanding and processing requirements.
• Liaising with various units and departments regarding Voluntary Corporate Action events to advise on published notifications.
• Participating in systems' and process changes testing and their successful implementations.
• Timely escalation of all requests, inquiries, issues, and errors related to corporate actions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-2+ Years Related Experience in financial services.
• Knowledge of financial markets and multiple types of investment instruments (Equity securities, Fixed Income, Asset Backed securities).
• Knowledge of multiple Corporate action types and Custody Asset Servicing is highly desired.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook - required).
• Proven success as a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
