Job Overview

Applications Development Senior Technology Lead for Core Accounts Data will be responsible for modernizing and optimizing data distribution flows and integration with Data Lakes, Finance systems, Data Warehouses, and other

consumers of Demand Deposit Accounts (DDA), Customer and Account data. This role will develop engineering solutions to reduce latency, increase flexibility and reduce technical debt. This role will work

with global teams supporting a franchise critical business, and partner with Citi Technology Infrastructure teams, STE Standard Operating Environments, Application teams across Services.

What you’ll do

• Re-engineer data flows between the Core Accounts DDA platform and Reference Data platforms, Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and local reporting systems.
• Drive data architecture to eliminate non-strategic point-to-point connections and batch handoffs.
• Simplify, rationalize, and refactor existing database schemas to enable modularization.
• Build and lead a strong engineering team to deliver value to internal and external clients.
• Collaborate with Production Support and other teams to resolve production issues.
• Integrate applications development expertise with overall technology goals.
• Provide evaluative judgment in complex, dynamic situations using internal and external insights.
• Influence senior leaders across functions and communicate with external stakeholders as needed.
• Assess risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies while maintaining ethical standards and transparency.

What we’ll need from you

• Experience in applications development.
• Proven expertise in architecting horizontally scalable, highly available, and resilient data distribution platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL, including working with relational databases, along with familiarity with various database systems.
• Strong experience in root cause analysis of internal and external data and processes to address business questions and identify improvement opportunities.
• Hands-on experience in Autosys, and Unix Shell scripting.
• Proficiency in data analytics and visualization tools.
• 12+ years of relevant industry experience, including standards and application development.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
