Job Overview
The Lead Full Stack Developer is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Role Overview/What will you do:
- Closely work with Rates desks in understanding the requirements and translating into simple and efficient design.
- Design, Development, Testing of new features in the Trading applications.
- Continual improvement of the software development lifecycle and quality of the product.
- Help deliver large scale projects through hands-on development and technical leadership.
- 3rd line support of the production system (dedicated 24h support teams handle 1st / 2nd line).
- Mentoring junior members of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects
- Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business integrate to accomplish business goals
- Impact the Applications Development area through monitoring delivery of end results, handling day-to-day staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project
- Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards negotiating with external parties when necessary
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Knowledge Experience:
- At least have 8 years of in-depth commercial development experience with dominant experience on Server and Client-side applications.
- At least 5 years of experience in writing and supporting high performing applications with expertise in Multithreading, Async communication, Reactive Extensions.
- Extensive experience in client-side development with experience in Angular, Reactjs, HTML5, ES6+, Typescript, and Reactive programming.
- Extensive experience of streaming and RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools like Jenkins or TeamCity
- Self-starting individual with experience of working in a desk facing role.
- Exposure to Agile Methodologies like scrum, Kanban and techniques like TDD
- Exposure to profiling application
- Mathematical aptitude and ambition to learn mathematics for financial derivative
- Strong aptitude for analysis and problem solving
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Attention to detail, Self-Motivated, Willingness to learn
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
