Senior Business Analyst - Spread Products, Officer, Tampa

Business Overview

Spread Products (“SP”) is a global franchise within Citi’s Markets division that provides financing, securitization, and secondary sales & trading capabilities to support issuer and investor clients. 

As a global franchise, SP’s activities include origination, structuring, investing, lending and market making across products including corporate and emerging market bonds, asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities, collateralized loan obligations, short term interest rate products, loans, letters of credit and derivative instruments. The team also provides underwriting, secondary trading, securitization, project financing, warehouse lending, commercial, residential and affordable housing financing.

Role   

Spread Products is seeking a highly motivated and detailed-oriented Analyst to join the SP Strategy & Finance group within the SP Business Execution team.  This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders across Asset-Backed Financing, Real Estate Financing, and Developed and Emerging Markets Flow and Structured Trading.  The Analyst will partner with business management, finance, and front office teams to help drive strategic initiatives, conduct financial and market analysis, and support key business planning processes. 

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing materials for executive management and regulatory reviews, including business updates, strategy decks, and performance scorecards

• Help facilitate recurring business reviews by gathering data, identifying trends, and synthesizing key insights for senior leadership

• Manage the monthly revenue and balance sheet forecasting (Outlook) process

• Support the execution of strategic initiatives, including creating, maintaining, and restructuring business segments to align to shifts in management structure or strategy

• Conduct detailed financial and market analysis to assess industry and competitor performance and track return on capital and resource utilization

• Partner with Finance, Risk, Sales, and Business Management teams to analyze performance and support business planning activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field

• 1–3 years of experience in financial services, consulting, corporate strategy, or related fields

• Recent graduates must show strong interest in finance and capital markets

• Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask under tight deadlines

• Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel with experience in Tableau or Bloomberg as a plus

• Familiarity with fixed income products or capital markets preferred but not required

• Keen attention to detail
