Director - Security and Derivatives Senior Group Manager - Tampa/Jersey City
Responsibilities:
- Determine and implement the strategic approach for the function
- Develop and implement new approaches that solve complex issues affecting the business and partnership with other business units to facilitate their success
- Review and analyze complex settlement productivity data, and present, implement and recommend solutions to improve the settlement cycle to organization and senior management
- Manage multiple high priority projects, support internal and external corporate clients, and oversee results, budget, planning and policy formulation
- Maintain detailed understanding of the business and apply industry and market knowledge to drive improvements within the functional area, including leading a successful risk control environment
- Articulate complex recommendations, negotiating with senior leaders and building credibility and trust across regions
- Advocate for mobility, diversity, training, compliance, and risk & control initiatives
- Develop partnerships with Technology, Compliance Risk, Finance, HR and key internal stakeholders
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- 15+ years of relevant experience
- Advanced level experience in a related role with extensive experience in business, functional and people management preferred
- Experience in management with Banking and Financial Institutions preferred
- In-depth understanding of opportunities that exist within Financial Services and significant experience in Corporate Banking
- Demonstrated success dealing with senior and executive management
- Proven ability to manage various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
- Effective project management and negotiation skills
- Consistently demonstrated clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred

Markets Operations at Citi has embarked on a significant, multi-year transformation covering all aspects of designing and delivering a future state target operating model: risk and controls, regulatory compliance, process re-engineering, automation, people and culture, data transformation, technology investment and client service. This is a large and complex undertaking.
The Markets Cash Management Treasury Operations group supports stakeholders both within Operations and across the bank, to deliver on day-to-day support functions whilst overseeing design and delivery on transformation initiatives globally.
This transformation is underpinned by a market-leading Cash Management team focusing on service delivery to Citi’s global Treasury desks, strategy, investment, change execution and program/ project management.
Role Overview:
The team is currently recruiting a director level, in-business Senior manager focused on delivery excellence as well as championing an environment of change and transformation.
Areas within focus for this role will include managing multiple projects and change initiatives within the Cash Management Treasury Operations team and across broader areas of Markets Operations. These may include regulatory projects, front to back process reviews, application re-engineering, and management of risk remediation initiatives.
The role will further include oversight of root cause analysis, shaping investment business cases and working across our partner groups to create and execute on delivery plans.
What you'll do:
- Manage oversight and delivery of change management and transformation initiatives by applying a broad and comprehensive understanding of Markets Operations in multiple functional areas whilst applying underlying business principles.
- Identifies stakeholders in key organizations and build and manage relationships with each stakeholder.
- Oversee root cause analysis, business requirements, planning, benefit definition and delivery execution.
- Drives adherence to processes, procedures, and standards for day-to-day functional management as well as project and program delivery.
- Directs the communication of issues and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
- Manager of managers. Responsible for people management and talent development.
- Manages a team of employees. Evaluate performance throughout the year and make recommendations for compensation and advancement.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made. Demonstrate consideration for the firm's reputation, safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations.
- Manages adherence to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices.

- Champion accountability and escalation principles.
What we'll need from you:
- Previous relevant experience in a Markets Operations role, preferably in a Cash Management, Treasury, Settlements, or Payments Ops function.
- Demonstrated consistent track record having worked as a Project Manager, Project Lead, PMO or Department head managing teams or strategic change initiatives
- Previous line management, program/project management, consulting, or technology experience.
- CAPM, PMP, PgMP and/or MBA are a plus
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree and managerial experience
