About the Role:
The Chief Operating Office is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager & Data Analytics AVP to drive the execution of strategic and global cross-Markets projects. This pivotal role focuses on identifying innovative solutions to enhance business profitability, with a specific emphasis on collaborating with Markets products and clusters to reduce transaction and market data expense costs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and managing weekly expense reviews, continuously seeking innovative ways to improve the expense review process. Additionally, this role will partner with the People@Markets lead to focus on improving Voice of Employee scores within Markets.
This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the implementation of global strategic projects within Markets, perform advanced data analytics to identify opportunities, engage in critical negotiations with third parties, and present findings and strategies to Markets senior management. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our Markets business, working closely with senior management, trading teams, and business managers, leveraging your analytical and negotiation skills to drive significant business growth and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various asset classes to identify, develop, and implement strategic initiatives aimed at driving business growth and performance.
- Ensure data transparency for business stakeholders, providing clear and actionable insights.
- Manage existing expense management workflows and continuously identify and implement process improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement within our Markets business by identifying P&L improvement and efficiency initiatives and overseeing their implementation.
- Lead and conduct effective negotiations with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Compile, analyze, and present complex information in a clear, concise, and compelling manner to senior Markets management.
- Utilize advanced analytical skills to interpret industry trends and translate them into actionable business strategies.
- Leverage strong technical skills, particularly advanced Excel, for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
- Focus on using AI and technical skills to enhance trader profitability
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:
- Demonstrated excellence in negotiation, with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information effectively to senior audiences.
- A strong team player capable of collaborating effectively with diverse cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
- Understanding of data visualization tools like Power BI and programming languages like Python is a significant plus.
- Familiarity with the implementation and optimization of workflow automation tools such as Appian.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Proven professional experience of 5+ years in a similar project management, data analytics, or strategic role within the financial services industry.
- 3+ years of experience managing or participating in projects and teams within the finance and 2 years in a professional management role
