This role sits within the new created global Institutional Credit Management (ICM) business which has been established with the objective to provide an integrated “end-to-end” credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management and monitoring for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise.

The role will be based in NAM, as a part of the wider Global ICM CAO organization. This person will work closely with the senior business heads and report to the NAM CAO to help execute the strategic goals of the Organization.

The primary function of the role is to assist with ongoing BAU activities of the ICM business management function including assisting with various business initiatives. The role requires close liaison with various other Business Areas and support functions such as - Finance, Compliance, Technology and Operations to ensure timely escalation and remediation of issues.

The ideal candidate will have 6-10 years financial services experience, be a self-starter, drive business initiatives and work with the ICM business management team to meet key business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful execution of this role requires the incumbent to demonstrate a wide range of financial, business, and inter-personal skills, the ability to multi-task, and to function comfortably amidst conflicting objectives in a high pressure environment.

  • Day-to-day business management and administrative duties required for the smooth operation of the business
  • Be a local representative and champion for the ICM business pillars in various regional management, administrative and support forums such as infrastructure, facilities capacity planning etc. together with Central functions team
  • Maintain detailed control documentation, procedures, key metrics and audit evidence.
  • Initiate and lead short, medium and long term projects to achieve the business objectives in the region
  • Define and implement efficient and standardized support structure for ICM – HR onboarding process, Application request and exception approvals for new hires and Consultants.
  • Support business goals and collaborate with cross functional teams including 2nd Line of defense, product teams, Finance, Operations, Technology.
  • Build familiarity with local team’s operational processes and roles and responsibilities for various teams - Participate and assist with local MCA assessments – QRA, ARA if needed. Ensuring compliance with applicable policies and governance requirements.
  • Work with regional ICRM (Product compliance), Information security Office (BISO)  for compliance with regulations and assisting with investigation and  resolution of issues
  • Partner with our Risk and Control team to ensure a robust governance, oversight, and control framework exists and is in line with corporate policies & regulation. 
  • Working alongside the Global Business Manager and to liaise with Business Heads to ensure appropriate support structure exists for ICM team
  • Work closely with the Markets and other regional Business Management teams in all aspects of financial, compliance and regulatory activities.
  • Provide backup and support for the other regional Business managers in APAC and EMEA

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Experience in CAO / COO roles, middle office, risk, compliance or financial control
  • Background in project management and similar relevant work experience in financial services preferred
  • Interest in and prior exposure to capital markets, and familiarity with financial institution regulation and policies.
  • Wholesale Credit product knowledge and background in Credit Risk would be advantageous
  • Familiarity with Citi’s internal processes and systems including Front Office Credit systems such as CitiRisk is a plus
  • Experience working in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets and cultures

Qualifications:

  • Degree preferred or sufficient industry experience
  • An interest in and prior exposure to risk management within capital markets, and familiarity with financial institution regulation and policies

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
