The Analyst position is an integral member of the U.S. Bank Regulatory Reporting team (the Team).  The team is a high-profile function, providing financial information to the regulators including the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).  The position will have a high level of visibility within the organization with opportunities to work directly on a regular basis with Management and will also interact very closely with other groups throughout Citi, including Controllers, SEC Reporting, Treasury, Risk, Accounting Policy, Financial Planning & Analysis, Capital Planning, and Finance & Risk Shared Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the system inventory of regulatory reports including a repository of key report documentation in compliance with the Global Regulatory and Management Reporting Policy.
  • Administer the inventory of End User Computing (EUC) files, performing status monitoring, metrics, decommissioning, troubleshooting, and serving as the subject matter expert (SME) resource.
  • Assist in driving process efficiencies, continuous process improvement efforts, and various Regulatory Reporting initiatives (e.g., future state Regulatory Reporting, strategic processes and systems, etc.).
  • Assist in regulatory report filing process to ensure key regulatory reports (e.g., FR Y-9C and FFIEC 031) are filed timely.
  • Assist in Change Management Process, including external changes from regulators and internal changes from system and management.
  • Execute in-depth analysis of variances, incorporating the understanding of accounting issues, economic events and their impact and present the financial results to Senior Management and US Regulatory Agencies. 
  • Keep abreast of industry, regulatory, and accounting developments.  Develop solid knowledge of Finance/accounting concepts and principles to ensure accurate Regulatory Reporting filings. 
  • Participate in various efforts with several areas across Citi, including Controllers, SEC Reporting, Treasury, Risk, Accounting Policy, and Financial Planning & Analysis to maintain a high level of quality and accuracy of the report filings.
  • Assist in Regulatory exams, internal audits and address external analysts’ questions. 
  • Assist in other special projects and ad-hoc requests as needed.

This individual will have an opportunity to work with over 50 team members across NY and Tampa, primarily consisting of MBAs and CPAs, who are engaged with and supportive of one another and in an environment, which promotes and sustains continuous development and growth.

U.S. Bank Regulatory Reporting team is focusing on providing complete and accurate consolidated financial statement analysis and other related information to the regulators, investors, outside analysts and senior management on a timely basis and in the most efficient manner possible.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Qualifications:

  • Accounting, financial analysis/reporting, and controls experience with exposure to Regulatory or SEC/GAAP financial statement analysis a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance is preferred.
  • Driven and self-motivated to work both independently and within a team, in order to deliver with the highest quality.
  • Flexibility and ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities under demanding time frames and respond effectively.
  • Consistently produce high quality work, fine-tuned to specific audience.
  • Strong analytical, technical, organization skills, and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter / quick learner.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to partner with other functions to optimize results. Ability to work with different levels of management.
  • Technology savvy – proficiency in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$62,620.00 - $87,380.00
