Our Markets Cash Management Treasury Operations group plays a critical role in supporting Citi's global Treasury desks and cross-functional Operations teams, delivering world-class cash management services, and driving transformative initiatives.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director to lead the development and execution of the future-state strategy for our global Cash Management Treasury Operations function. This is a high-impact role that requires a strong understanding of cash management, treasury operations, and the broader financial markets landscape. The Director will partner with senior leadership to define strategic objectives, drive process enhancements, and oversee the delivery of key transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Partner with senior leaders to define, develop, and implement the business and transformation strategy for the global Cash Management function.
Transformation & Innovation: Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation to enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and improve service delivery.
Project Management: Manage multiple high-priority projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, on-time delivery, and effective stakeholder communication.
Business Case Development: Lead the development of robust business cases for strategic investments, quantifying benefits and ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across Operations, Technology, and other partner groups to drive collaboration and ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
Market & Industry Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements to facilitate strategic decision-making and identify emerging opportunities.
Communication & Influence: Articulate complex recommendations clearly and concisely, negotiate effectively with senior leaders, and build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
Change Management: Oversee the planning and execution of change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, technologies, and organizational structures.
Budget Oversight: Manage and oversee budget planning and delivery related to transformation initiatives, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control.
Qualifications:
15+ years of relevant experience.
Working knowledge of Operations, Cash Management or Treasury function within Markets, Custody or Treasury environment.
Product Management: Proven experience in product management, with a track record of successfully launching and managing the implementation to completion.
Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes, develop creative solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams, build consensus, and drive change.
Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent activities/projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, whilst articulating status, issues, and risk disposition to all stakeholders.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred
