The SVP, Digital Exp Grp Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.
Responsibilities:
- The role will be primarily responsible for regulatory projects that are initiated by the Singapore regulator MAS and association bank body - ABS and have strict timelines and industry commitments. These projects are sensitive in nature with a limited timeline for implementation that requires a senior person to manage the regulatory engagement and expectations.
- This role will require regular interaction which involves quick understanding of the requirements, translating them into internal requirements and working with various stakeholders like technology, control partners and the project prioritization team to ensure on-time delivery as per regulatory expectations.
- The role will require an in-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance and controls activities, assess any process risk that might occur due to the regulatory implementation and proactively manage such risks through CAPS and the Risk Exception process where applicable to meet the objectives of the organization's controls requirements.
- A good understanding of local regulations, regulatory vendor onboarding and relationship management are necessary.
- Partner closely with a cross-discipline team of creative talent, strategists and producers to invent and execute innovative brand experiences across a diverse range of channels including digital, mobile and bank branches
- Lead and conduct cultural trend reports, competitive reviews, opportunity assessments, target analyses, cross-channel audits, customer journeys, user research and usability studies, business requirement definition, digital roadmaps and much more
- Work directly with key internal stakeholders to understand their business, reach a shared vision of how to solve their problems while serving their customers, and ultimately help them to succeed
- Partner with design leaders to uncover the key questions to answer and guide user-centric design
- Coach and inspire others on a regular basis
- Empowered to build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders through regular engagement and strategic presentations
- Lead and champion the continuous learning process for Citi in partnership with key Data Science and Tech partners and trusted agency vendors
- Design and execute user research and usability studies, producing insights and business recommendations, and presenting them to large, senior audiences.
- Foster an ongoing partnership with a cross-discipline design team (and agencies/vendors) to invent, execute and improve upon breakthrough solutions.
- Manage all projects with agile methods ensuring that every project starts with customer needs, strategy and a well-defined problem to solve
- Uncover rich quantitative and qualitative insights from net promoter score data, digital analytics, first/second and third party research that propel teams forward and fuel remarkable solutions
- Design and work with internal analytics partners to track the performance of the team’s solutions and use that data to inform the next iteration
- Manage multiple work streams with varying timelines and complexity with authority and passion
- Partner with other strategists, analysts, researchers and business leaders at Citi to create briefs and set expectations for deliverables
- Help package concepts and insights and present to internal stakeholders in persuasive, articulate and compelling ways
- Support leadership in the overall growth and development of business strategy
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience
- MBA. Statistics experience. Management consulting, marketing consulting or strategic planning experience at an agency
- Experience with technical facets of financial platforms or eCommerce
- Must be a trained usability research moderator comfortable and adept at conducting task-based usability studies
- Proven management of vendors
- Must have traditional planning experience
- Expert in various digital/mobile research technologies, software and equipment
- Demonstrated business acumen and comfort performing strategic analyses quickly and thoroughly
- A deep knowledge of the design thinking methodology
- Thorough understanding of digital design
- Able to work independently, solve problems creatively and lead through ambiguity
- Proven expertise in time and project management
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and public speaking skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
