The TTS Services IT Business Analyst  is an intermediate level position required to develop an understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function (e.g Products) as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the services function and overall Citi business to remediate data quality issues. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex issues from multiple sources. Strong communication skill is required.


Responsibilities:

  • Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions
    Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents
    Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. 
    Monitor alignment of processes across business, functions and lines of business to the Enterprise Data Governance Policy and standards to meet its specific requirements.
    Provide functional knowledge to ensure efficient analysis and remediation of data quality issues.
    Collaborate closely with business, operations and technology teams as well as partner with Enterprise Data Governance teams.
    Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), identify solution and (Final) Risk Assessment for data quality issues.
    Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and best practices.
    Create data linage and system flow documentation and process maps
    Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience as business data analysis, business analysis or systems analysis.
    Extensive experience in data governance, data management, or related roles including support of data standards/policies.
    At least 5+ years of experience in banking and financial services industry, preferably Payments.
    Experience with data management processes, tools, and applications, including data cataloging, process mapping and lineage toolsets.
    Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) in a clear, confident, and open-minded manner to build trusting partnerships with a wide variety of audiences and stakeholders at different levels.
    Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
    Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
