Job Overview
The candidate will have primary responsibility of software quality assurance for a group of Middle Office applications from Business perspective. He / She will be working as part of Change Management team and assist in testing of projects related to Global Fund Services for timely completion of scheduled projects. He / She is responsible for maintaining overall Book of Work, Costing, Resourcing and continuous process of UAT processes. It will require working with Global IT, Product and Operations senior management to provide a high quality software product to the internal and external clients and meet the agreed and expected service standards. The candidate will be responsible for management and development of Middle Office Testing team Testing book of work: ensuring to provide direction, resourcing coordination and prioritization, implementation, execution, control, reporting and completion of specific projects – in consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. Client coverage embraces global clients of Middle Office and Funds Administration.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manages Testing team/s with respect to on-time and proper execution of tasks, internal trainings, control and reporting to Senior Management. Executes on all people leadership functions, managing absence and holiday leave, remuneration etc. Drives continuous improvement and project implementation for the team and whole unit. Ensures cohesion between different internal functions and teams. Drives the ongoing development, growth and stability of the organization.
- Builds and manages the supervised area, motivating staff to effective execution. Identifies and develops the effective successor. Full management responsibility of an MO Testing department.
- Ensures effective management of initiatives and projects across internal teams, including documentation and tests. Manages migrations of new processes, functions into the team, whilst ensuring risk analysis of new processes. Ensures appropriate governance is in place for all team functions and drives effective communication of escalations.
- Ensures strong leadership standards and practices are established for all internal teams, including performance management, recruitment, coaching and feedback to staff, absence planning, compensation planning, promotion/advancement reviews, and training/development, succession planning. Instills a strong culture of risk awareness, detection and prevention across teams. Prepares and supervises on time execution of the training plan for the area. Performs identification of talents and building strategy for the development of staff.
- Day-to-day leadership, management & support of Testing projects.
- Active management through goals, key performance and quality indicators with view of improving overall quality and timeliness of Testing delivery
- Capacity management and dynamic prioritization of resources
- Building and maintenance of strong client relationships that enforces the quality of the Citi service
- Building effective relationships with production/BAU Middle Office and Funds teams globally, enabling high quality and timely delivery of projects and ensuring BAU satisfaction from delivered initiatives

- Provide functional test analysis, planning, design, execution and reporting for testing assignments.
- Drives automation approaches for various types of testing (SIT, UAT etc) for web/ UI and database applications
- Estimation & Milestone planning for the project and provide estimates for the UAT.
- Ensure the deliverables are managed within the defines timelines
- Highlight Risk and issues at management level
- Extensive liaison and direct contact with a diverse range of business and technology functions, both within the bank and with key vendors.
- Prepare where required: Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Cases, Test Scripts, Test Data, Test Coverage analysis for a given testing assignment.
- Work closely with the stakeholders or other groups in preparation and execution of the planned functional testing.
- Play a lead role in the analysis and reporting of test results, working closely with business, technology and support areas to investigate and interpret test findings.
- Assist in the reception and quality assurance of the business requirements, solution design and business process documents individual projects.
- Develop and extend collaborative working relationships with clients, technology suppliers and operational support areas in order to quickly understand requirements, resolve problems/issues, suggest solutions and identify areas for service improvement.
- As a member of the Test Work stream, participate in peer reviews of Test Approaches, Test Plans, Test Conditions and Test Scripts as well as contributing to the on-going development of test strategy and policy within the Testing Programme.
- Track the schedule and testing progress and be accountable for the tasks and releases.
- Manage the client meetings and defect calls independently.
- Ensure innovative solution for challenging deliveries
Skills, Qualification and Experience
- At least 10 years of experience in Banking and Financial Services industry; Investment Banking , Security Services domain preferred..
- Minimum 8 years of hands on experience in Testing.
- At least 6 years of experience in leading multiple high priority testing projects, test automation experience; Middle Office test transformation projects is preferred .
- At least 5 years’ experience in leading significant size test teams through dynamic growth and delivering cost and process efficiencies, planning capacity.
- The successful candidate should have an extensive knowledge, experience and exposure in Middle Office (preferably) or Funds industry products (e.g. Custody, Funds Admin) and applicants should be numerate, computer literate with the ability to understand new systems quickly.

- Practical experience of the use of JIRA.
- Expertise in MS Office application particularly in Excel.
- Strong test management background, solid understanding of Agile framework and Safe 2.0
- Soft skills are equally important — driven, adaptable, willing to learn, and with a strong work ethic.
- Must possess sound knowledge on Trade Processing / Fund Accounting / Pricing / Reconciliation / Corporate Actions / Collateral Management/Transfer Agency across different financial instruments.
- Exposure to global client and understanding of global work culture
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Strong analytical skills, detail orientation and service commitment.
- Ability to handle pressure, work independently, as well as in a team environment, prioritizes multiple tasks and meets strict deadlines.
- Must be prepared to work in a shift in line with regions supported including India night shifts
- Innovative approach to work and continuously identify and implement process improvements
- Excellent project and time management skills
- Strong organizational, networking and managerial skills
- Ability to influence change at difference levels of the organization
- Independent, self-motivated and hard working
- Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery frameworks.
- Able to handle a cross functional team of Test Leads and Analysts and Automation developers .
- Active engagement in site strategy initiatives and its promotion within stakeholders
- Test Automation or software development experience preferred
