Job Overview
The Process Reengineering group within the CTO organization designs, delivers solutions and processes across multiple enterprise partners to enhance, automated and transform our core technology processes. This new function has been established to leverage skillsets of experienced engineers to proactively drive Citi’s transformation by unlocking value from Citi’s enterprise technology processes.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Development Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in development and solutions architecture with a proven track record of delivering innovative technical solutions in a corporate setting. As a senior member you will be actively involved in engagement with technical partners as well as leading active development and deployment - we will need a strong, opinionated, and creative lead.
Responsibilities
Delivery of modern, robust technical solutions, sometimes across multiple concurrent projects
Lead small development team, producing and reviewing architecture/designs, code and technical work providing feedback and guidance to align with function mission
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including technology and business stakeholders to define architectural and technical deliverables, sometimes within the constraints of existing platforms
Mentor and coach team members, providing guidance on best practices, methodologies, and tools available for modern technology delivery
Engage with technical input to transforming enterprise wide problems
Stay-up-to-date with the latest developments in DevOps and testing technologies for potential adoption
Close partnership with London based leadership and Scrum master/Delivery manager to ensure transparency for all technical team deliverables
Engage and influence senior technical partners to fulfill technical delivery
Experience/Qualifications:
12+ years of relevant experience in as senior development lead, senior engineering manager or equivalent role
Significant Java with Springboot and other modern Java frameworks development experience
Demonstrated excellent analytical skills and advanced knowledge of software architecture
Experience of, but not necessarily coding, other modern languages, including but not limited to Kotlin, Python, .Net, shell scripting, C++, R
Modern micro-service architecture and development and deployment practices: OpenShift/Kubernetes, Kakfamessaging, RESTful services, Helm, Hashicorp Vault, DevOps, SecOps
Relational and non-relational/no SQL DBs : SQL, Oracle, MongoDB
Demonstrated functional knowledge of SOLID methodology and OO design and SME in applications architecture and design
Experience of modern production observability/monitoring tools: Splunk, Grafana, ELK stack
Experience of GenAI Tooling, OpenAI api (or equivalent), TensorFlow, development and integration ofgenerative LLM techniques: chat, Retrieval Augmented Generation, and automated scenario simulation and optimization.
Experience of working corporate and enterprise environment
Demonstrated leadership, communication, project management, and development skills, working with remote leaders
Minimal 5 years related International working experience, consignment and secondment
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master’s degree preferred
