Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both software development and IT operations, with a proven ability to streamline development cycles, enhance system reliability, and implement robust automation solutions. This role requires a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has significant experience within the banking or financial services industry, understanding its unique regulatory and security demands.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment processes.
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to ensure scalability, security, and high availability of applications.
  • Develop and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent outages.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and shared responsibility.
  • Implement and manage logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to ensure comprehensive visibility into application and infrastructure health.
  • Ensure compliance with banking industry regulations and security best practices (e.g., SOX, GDPR, PCI DSS).
  • Automate repetitive tasks and develop tools to improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response to maintain system uptime.
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in configuration management, release management, and site reliability engineering (SRE).

Required Qualifications

  • Experience:Minimum of 6-8 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or similar role.
  • Banking/Financial Services Experience:Demonstrated experience working in the banking or financial services industry, with an understanding of its specific compliance, security, and operational requirements.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
    • Strong expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, CircleCI).
    • Extensive experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Solid understanding of IaC principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
    • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
    • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
    • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Splunk).
    • Knowledge of networking concepts, security protocols, and database management.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
    • Proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and improving existing processes.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
  • Experience with microservices architectures.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
