Job Overview
The Sec & Derivatives Supv is an intermediate management level position responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees in an effort to process orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the seamless delivery of securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise operating efficiency and ensure the entire team meets performance and quality expectations of assigned tasks
- Evaluate team performance and make recommendations for pay increases, promotions, terminations, staffing, etc.
- Resolve escalated issues and provide appropriate closure to those problems
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, including service or technology enhancements and train staff on all changes
- Analyze data to identify control deficiencies and resolve discovered issues through implementing appropriate procedures

- Serve as backup for manager as required
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 7+ Yrs, Experience in market settlement of securities (equities/bonds and SN).
- Well versed with settlement instruction RVP(MT541)/DVP(MT543)/RF(MT540)/DF(MT542)
- Essential parameters of settlement instruction like REAG/DEAG, PSETT,
- Strong knowledge on market nuances of ASIAN/EUR/NAM markets like market cut off’s for securities settlement in Luxembourg,
- How the trade settles in RAD/DTC.
- CSDR Penalty
- Trade affirmation process
- Knowledge on derivatives settlement , basic of trade order processing
Shift Timings - 06;30 to 3;30 IST (09:00 am to 6:00 PM SGT)
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
