About the Team: Citi Markets - Business Execution

The Chief Operating Office Business Execution team drives Markets wide business initiatives. Collaborating with Markets leadership and functional partners (Finance, Risk, Technology, HR), our responsibilities include:

• Business Management: Business reviews, planning, and strategy risk management
• Expense Management: Transaction and market data cost management
• Human Capital: Development and risk management

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Vice President to join the team, focusing on Transaction and Market Data Costs. This role is a unique opportunity to lead initiatives, project management and data analytics to drive business profitability and optimize market data and transaction-related expenses.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical and communication skills, a strong sense of ownership and focus on execution, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This demanding role requires quick adaptation, continuous learning, effective management of multiple deliverables, and strong negotiation and interpersonal skills for interaction with senior traders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement initiatives to identify, manage, and optimize transaction and market data costs across various asset classes, enhancing business profitability.
• Conduct comprehensive data analysis to extract key insights, identify trends, and draw clear, concise conclusions from complex financial and operational data.
• Develop and implement AI-driven solutions to optimize transactional and market data efficiencies.
• Manage and improve existing Expense Approvals Workflows and related processes.
• Negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders for cost optimization.
• Prepare and present complex information clearly and concisely to senior Markets management.
• Provide flexible ad-hoc support for tasks, presentations, and documentation to senior leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Power BI and Python is a strong plus.
• Project Management: Proven ability to plan and execute complex initiatives within large organizational structures.
• Analytical Acumen: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Communication & Presentation: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex information clearly and concisely to senior audiences.
• Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective internal networks and collaborate across diverse functional and cross-functional teams.
• Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt, re-adjust under pressure, and manage challenging situations effectively.
• Transaction expense management: Ideally experience in brokerage, clearance, exchange and market data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative field. Master’s Degree Preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, with at least 3 years in a strategic, analytical, or project management role.
