Job Overview
Citi’s OnePay Payments Platform marks the shift from reliance on external vendors to homegrown payments solutions. Citi has rolled out the platform in Malaysia, Ukraine and the Nordics so far. 2025 will mark the first implementation of an Instant Payments (IP) Flow on OnePay, with Ukraine as Pilot, with a plan to leverage OnePay IP for Tier2 and Tier3 markets globally.
This role is a leadership role for the Payments Technology Modernisation team with a critical mandate to own end to end delivery for One Pay Country Rollouts of Instant Payments. You will face off to Product, Operations, Service and Technology and oversee all aspects of delivery, in a globally consistent manner, working in conjunction with Engineering and Partner teams. This requires a strong execution focus, coupled with technology know-how and understanding of Payments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Country Roll-outs of OnePay IP, based on the Core Capabilities being built by the Engineering teams
- Analyze complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards to identify solutions for Cross-Platform defects/issues
- Develop and roll out frameworks for program analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation
- Utilize advanced knowledge of supported main system flows and comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas to achieve technology goals
- Consult with end users to identify system function specifications and incorporate into overall system design
- Drive timely decisions with appropriate escalations where required
- Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties as necessary
- Proactively assess and highlight risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role with proven track record of delivery
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven analytics and reporting tools.
- Working knowledge of Java 8 and above, backend REST APIs.
- Gradle, ECS, ELK, App dynamics, Splunk is a plus.
- Built and maintained Build Scripts and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid Experience with NgRx or any other Redux libraries.
- Exposure to Cloud infrastructure both on-premises and public cloud (i.e., OpenShift, AWS, etc.)
- Exposure to Quality as Code Implementation (i.e. TDD, BDD, Unit Testing, Selenium)
- Exposure to API Management tools
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Good knowledge of AI (Co-pilot) and automation tools to increase development efficiency and quality.
- Nice to have : AI/ML & Gen AI : OpenAI GPT, LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred
