Job Overview
The Applications Development Intermediate Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code
- Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems
- Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications.
- Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, as well as conduct testing and debugging
- Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts
- Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions
- Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 4-8 years in an Apps Development role. Demonstrated execution capabilities.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; Data driven and results-oriented
- Experience in running high traffic, distributed, cloud based services
- Experience in affecting large culture change
- Experience leading infrastructure programs
- Skilled at working with third party service providers
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

- Design and deliver web solutions with a focus on multi-tenant architecture.
- Develop and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Java, SpringBoot, Kafka, Angular, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Equipped to use AI tools, and good to have knowledge in AI,Gen AI.
- Design and implement integrations using microservices architecture, with must experience with Kafka.
- Work with SQL and other standard database query tools to manage and retrieve data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, proactively seeking opportunities to improve existing systems.
- Present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Angular.
- Experience with Red hat open shift.
- Hands-on development experience with Java.
- Experience with CI/CD development methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Git, Bitbucket).
- Experience with web services such as SOAP and REST.
- Experience with data modeling languages such as XML and JSON.
- Experience with networking technologies such as routing/switching, load balancing, and DNS.
