Job Overview
Enterprise Analytics Services (EAS) team (Part of Cloud Technology Services Organization) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Group Manager to play a key role in enhancing our Business Intelligence Services. This role requires a thought leader and hands-on contributor who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building and managing best-in-class BI products as a service. This is a critical role focused on strengthening our platform capabilities and ensuring we meet the evolving needs of our growing customer base, particularly in the APAC and EMEA regions.
Responsibilities:
• Enhance the reliability, performance, and scalability of our global Business Intelligence services platforms.
• Address region-specific requirements, mitigate operational risk, and ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery in strategically important markets.
• Automate and standardize processes to reduce manual effort and improve operational effiency.
• Design and architect services to handle growth, usage spikes, and ensure cross-regional availability.
• Enable SaaS (Software As A Service) or PaaS (Platform As A Service) solutions on AWS/GCP to reduce on-prem Data center foot print and leverage Gen AI capabilities.
• Champion SRE principles and drive the adoption of best practices within the team.
• Assess the current technology landscape and identify key areas for infrastructure automation, configuration management, monitoring, and alerting.
• Design and implement proactive monitoring and alerting systems to detect and respond to production issues, focusing on preventive solutions.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for BI Services and implement processes for continuous improvement.
• Operationalize highly available services across multi-region and multi-data center environments.
• Lead root cause analysis for service outages, providing architectural and engineering recommendations for remediation.
• Collaborate with senior leaders across various functions including external partners to achieve organizational objectives.
• Develop and maintain an internal knowledge base to educate partners and support teams.
• Mentor and develop team members.
Qualifications:
• 15 + years of experience as a Solution Architect, with a proven track record of designing and implementing highly available platforms and services supporting diverse workloads.
• Deep understanding of fail-over processes and solutions design.
• Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, Ruby, Perl, etc.).
• Extensive experience with virtualization, containerization, and cloud technologies (VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Platforms such as AWS, GCP).
• Expertise in platform architecture with the ability to apply SRE principles to design resilient services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with building large scale platforms.
• Strong experience in designing complex solutions for Financial industry.
• Hands-on experience gathering performance metrics, troubleshooting, tuning, and monitoring systems.
• Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows-based environments.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with automation technologies (Ansible).
• Experience with CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence products (Tableau preferred) and data federation tools (Starburst a plus).
• Experience deploying and administering large-scale Business Intelligence implementations.
• Strong understanding of security best practices.
• Experience with monitoring platforms (Grafana a plus).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong team player with a passion for knowledge sharing, cross-training, and continuous learning.
• Ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience managing vendor relationships.
• Experience working in the financial services industry or a large, complex global environment is preferred.

- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
