Job Overview
Developer Enablement is a function of the CTO organization. Our mission is to make it easy and enjoyable for software engineering teams to go from a business idea to delivering an innovative product solution. The main goals are to improve and upgrade our tools, streamline our processes, automate and strengthen our controls, and help development teams adopt modern working methods.
The team that is hiring is responsible for technology services used within the CI/CD platform to enforce automated consistency and compliance to predefined technology domains.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Scrum Master / Project Delivery Lead who will also contribute to technical analysis for the managed projects. This hybrid role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our projects, primarily focusing on Agile methodologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies, coaching the development team in Agile principles, and meticulously managing project documentation and Jira items to ensure clarity, accuracy, and timely progression.
Responsibilities:
- Jira Management and Hygiene:
- Story and Item Documentation: Ensure all user stories, tasks, bugs, and other Jira items are clearly, concisely, and comprehensively documented, including acceptance criteria, business value, and technical details where appropriate.
- Prioritization and Refinement: Work closely with the Product Owner and development team to ensure the backlog is well-groomed, prioritized, and ready for upcoming sprints.
- Reporting and Dashboards: Generate reports and maintain dashboards in Jira to provide stakeholders with accurate and up-to-date visibility into project progress, team velocity, and burndown.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a central point of contact for project communication, providing regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and dependencies.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and with external groups.
- Risk and Dependency Management: Identify, track, and manage project risks and dependencies, developing mitigation strategies.
- Delivery Planning and Tracking: Assist in detailed release planning, track progress against delivery milestones, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.
Experience:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Scrum Master in an enterprise software development environment.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
- Demonstrable expertise in Jira administration and meticulous management of project items, including advanced query skills and dashboard creation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable:
- Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM I or equivalent).
- Experience with technical requirements analysis.
- Experience in a regulated industry or large enterprise environment.
