Job Overview
Role Overview:As a Corporate Actions Analyst, you will play a crucial role in processing and reconciling corporate action events across various financial instruments. This position is ideal for individuals with foundational knowledge of capital markets, mutual funds, and diverse asset types. The role focuses on ensuring data integrity, adhering to compliance standards, and contributing to the efficient operation of corporate action processing.
Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile various corporate action events, including dividends, mergers, and splits, for different financial instruments.
- Ensure accurate and timely capture and maintenance of corporate action data within internal systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
- Monitor and validate corporate action notifications and market data from various sources.
- Identify and assist in the resolution of routine to moderately complex issues related to corporate action processing.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of corporate actions processes and operational efficiency.
- Adhere to applicable laws, rules, and regulations, applying sound ethical judgment and escalating control issues transparently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in financial services, particularly corporate actions or back-office operations.
- Foundational understanding of capital markets, mutual funds, and various asset classes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to process and manage financial data accurately and efficiently.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus, along with general computer literacy.
