Job Overview
Transaction Management (TM) serves as a critical component of our First Line of defence for wholesale and counterparty credit risk. TM works through the challenges of the Wholesale Credit Risk Lending processes with the aim of transforming the credit risk process flows including but not limited to operational oversight, legal documentation, and collaterals. The scope of responsibilities and scale of this team will evolve over time to continue to meet our needs. Importantly, TM will coordinate with credit management groups across corporate businesses to ensure full alignment on business and regulatory goals, as well as consistency and best practices where appropriate.
Currently, TM covers Documentation controls, Collateral controls, Credit Documentation Review. Transaction Manager – C12 is an intermediate level position responsible for managing collateral through its lifecycle, engaging in documentation verification prior disbusement, and ensuring the quality of data/controls/processes meet all requirement. Other objectives of this role are to coordinate and maintain data quality in credit systems, escalate deficiencies, and recommend solutions in alignment with overall credit policies. Additionally, the role will involve collaborating closely with the CEE TM lead.
What will you be doing?
Pre-Disbursement Review: Review credit legal documentation to detect any deficiencies before funds disbursement. Communicate with all stakeholders in credit process – mainly with Risk, Business, Legal teams – and with internal/external auditors.
Data Management: Maintain documentation related data attributes in various internal systems. Review collateral documentation and maintain collateral related data attributes in various internal systems.
Reporting and Analysis: Review month end reports for assigned portfolio segment(s) following data quality process and submit or process adjustments verifying their accuracy.
Credit Structuring Support: Assist businesses with implementing complex credit structures based on customer’s requirements.
Process Improvement: Apply in-depth knowledge and contribute to simplification and standardization of processes within CEE cluster.
Risk Management: Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, considering the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy. Exercise sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices. Escalate, manage, and report control issues with transparency.
What are we looking for?
5-8 years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s/University degree is preferred
Demonstrated analytical skills
Clear and concise written and verbal communication
Fluency in English and Czech/Slovak
Ability to prioritize deliverables and work independent of direct supervision
Ability to collaborate across multiple business lines and levels of management
Ability to adapt to changes in dynamic environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
Self-motivated and detail oriented
