This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Inflation Trader to join our Paris-based team at the Vice President level. The role offers the chance to take ownership of a trading book, where you will be responsible for generating revenue and managing risk within the inflation products space. This position is ideal for a professional looking to leverage their deep market knowledge and quantitative skills to make a significant impact, drive the franchise forward, and deliver for our clients in a key European market.

Primary Responsibilities of the role

• Oversee and actively trade a dedicated book of inflation-linked products, including bonds, swaps, and other derivatives, to generate revenue and meet business targets.

• Develop, test, and implement sophisticated trading strategies based on in-depth macroeconomic analysis, market dynamics, and inflation forecasts.

• Proactively manage the risk profile of the trading book, with a specific focus on interest rate, basis, and inflation risk exposures.

• Collaborate closely with the Sales and Structuring teams to design, price, and deliver innovative inflation-hedging solutions for our institutional clients.

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external counterparties to enhance market access and grow the franchise.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the desk’s analytical tools, models, and trading infrastructure.

What we need from you

• Experience in a trading role with a direct focus on inflation or related macro rates products.

• Deep technical knowledge of inflation-linked securities, derivatives, their pricing methodologies, and associated risk factors.

• Advanced quantitative and analytical skills, with a proven ability to interpret complex economic data and market indicators to inform trading decisions.

• Proficiency with trading platforms and systems such as Bloomberg, along with strong numerical competency.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or Economics is highly preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
