Ops Sup Sr Manager - C13 - OFALLON
This role is responsible for directing a Financial Services Investigations team providing oversight, monitoring, and account ownership responsibilities of General Ledger Retail Bank balance sheet accounts, including balance substantiation, creating balance pools for reconciliation, and mapping accounts to existing balance pools, supporting the Frontier recon process and investigation of exception balances. This role also works with Issue and Project management teams to provide requirements and ensure deliverables are completed ahead of target dates.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide continuous iterative exploration of data and review of team’s processes for improving operational performance and implementing strategic initiatives.
-Ensure timely and accurate resolution of escalated financial differences / exception items.
-Key stakeholder and participant in Financial Control projects and Finance initiatives relating to team’s Balance Sheet account population.
-Account Owner of Balance Sheet General Ledger accounts and support adherence to the Balance Sheet Substantiation governance framework (proper month-end close).
-Identification and coordination of risk management practices within processes that reduce risk and improve controls, open Issues and Corrective Action Plans as necessary.
- Lead a Financial Investigations unit, conduct performance reviews, manage and develop staff.
- Oversee and evaluate team’s processes and methodologies for improving customer experience and mitigating financial loss to the institution.
- Work with staff to implement efficiencies, enhance workflow.
- Analyze capacity plan to optimize productivity, improve inventory throughput, and ensure team deliverables are in accordance with expectation, including management of inventory ahead of established age benchmarks for owned population of Balance Sheet accounts.
- Review team practices, confirming alignment to audit expectation.
- Ensure operation runs within the highest quality standards, minimizing Regulatory risks, and customers have a positive experience
- Utilize analytics and reporting for developing enhancements and strategic team initiatives. Articulate plan in a concise and timely manner.
- Execute based on facts and a diverse range of internal and external sources in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations.
- Negotiate internally, able to recommend next course of action to senior management, with ability to navigate and engage in business appropriate confrontations with business partners to advocate for proper, business aligned, outcomes.
- Appropriately assess risk prior to implementing changes to a process, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Autonomous and able to exercise independent judgement, with ability to present/speak as an expert on their team to senior stakeholders and fellow team members.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Experience in management position related to Operations function
- Experience in Finance or Banking
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
- Master’s degree preferred

$96,400.00 - $144,600.00
