Job Overview
The Velocity Americas Content Intelligence Lead AVP is responsible for transforming market analysis and client engagement through data-driven content strategies and insightful analytics. Collaborating closely with Sales and Trading teams, the primary goal is to increase client engagement across various asset classes through compelling content.
As part of the global Velocity Content team, you'll play a key role in shaping and delivering an industry-leading content offering for Citi Velocity. This function is crucial for enhancing our client value proposition by providing highly relevant and engaging content, while also empowering our trading teams with cutting-edge market insights derived from both market data and platform usage analytics.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of global financial markets, combined with exceptional written communication skills and a solid background in product analytics or data science. This could be a data scientist with a financial background, an experienced analyst with proven writing abilities, or a candidate with a strong quantitative educational background applicable to this role.
Responsibilities:
Client Content Intelligence & Delivery
- Deliver macro-focused written content on global financial markets, with a preferred background in Rates and/or Equities products (other asset classes welcome), ensuring content is grounded in quantitative analysis and verifiable data.
- Respond to unique content requests from internal and client users daily, leveraging data insights to inform content creation and targeting.
- Collaborate with sales and trading teams on client content campaigns, integrating data-backed narratives and predictive analytics where applicable.
- Implement data-driven storytelling into macro content, linking platform offerings and client behavior to global macro trading events.
- Co-produce content across video and livestream formats within the Velocity Markets Content Team, advising on data visualization and analytical insights for multimedia presentations.
- Occasionally cover major market events outside of normal working hours or on weekends.
II. Content Product & Analytics
- Coordinate daily with Citi Technology, product business teams, Compliance, and the broader Velocity Organization, representing the data-driven perspective of content delivery
- Maintain accurate records of content distribution and product development
- Provide product feedback based on empirical data and user behavior analysis.
III. Risk & Control
- Obtain and maintain all necessary registrations/licenses within the required timeframe.
- Implement and maintain strong governance and control infrastructure for the content product, including data integrity and compliance for analytical processes.
- Work closely with control functions (Legal, Compliance, Market & Credit Risk, Audit, Finance) to ensure data-driven content and insights adhere to all regulatory and internal standards.
- Adhere to all applicable policies and procedures, including Citi's Code of Conduct.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a related role with a proven track record in product analytics or data science.
- Demonstrated experience with statistical analysis, data modeling, and data visualization tools (e.g., Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib), SQL, Tableau, AG Grid, and/or Power BI).
- Strong written content skills; experience in multimedia content is a plus, with a demonstrable ability to integrate complex data into compelling narratives.
- Solid knowledge of financial products: FX and Equities preferred.
- Proven ability to extract actionable insights from large, complex datasets and translate them into strategic recommendations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in both content creation and data analysis.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively with and in cross-functional teams, particularly bridging gaps between content, product, sales, and technology.
- Strong ability to tell compelling stories with data, making analytical findings accessible and impactful to non-technical stakeholders.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Journalism experience with a strong quantitative aptitude preferred.
- Bloomberg experience preferred.

$150,000.00 - $175,000.00
