About the Team
Enterprise Services and Public Affairs (ESPA) team seeks to enhance and protect the reputation of Citi, its businesses and the brand through direct and indirect communication with Citi's various stakeholders, including our colleagues. The Global Communications team is a nimble team in ESPA that covers a broad scope of responsibilities, ranging from Executive communications and public engagements to quarterly earnings and corporate reputation programs as well as communications that support our lines of business. The nature of the work provides a dynamic environment where members of the team serve as company spokespeople to media, drive engagement with colleagues and develop external and internal digital communications for a global workforce. Within Citi, the team works with many internal partners, including senior leadership, and regularly coordinates closely with other members of the ESPA team across the world.

About the Role
Citi has undertaken a firm-wide Transformation that will help to modernize and simplify our bank. The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Transformation Communications is a key member of Citi’s Global Communications team, reporting to the Director, Head of Transformation Communications, and will work alongside those responsible for executing Citi’s Transformation to ensure clear and consistent communications. Working with partners throughout the firm, the Senior Vice President will build and drive communications efforts that proactively engage colleagues on key priorities and objectives Citi’s transformation program, including culture, risk management, controls, data governance and more. The Senior Vice President will work to ensure these critical change management efforts are understood by colleagues and other key stakeholders that they know how their work impacts these efforts, and that there is strong connectivity across the organization. The role also focuses on function-wide communications for the Chief Operating Office (COO), including overseeing communications for engagement, learning and development initiatives, owning content and maintenance for the organization’s SharePoint and Teams channels, and supporting executive communications.
Responsibilities:
Partner closely with executives and stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of the outputs of Citi’s Transformation program and changes that come as a result, and work to produce digestible communications demonstrating related business benefits
Bring relevant stakeholders together to align on communications plans and approaches and inform around progress
Work closely with the rest of Transformation Communications team to advance and align leaders and partners to drive consistent messaging
Draft and review communications including emails, articles, videos and talking points and support the coordination of employee-related events related to both Citi’s Transformation and Citi’s Chief Operating Office
Provide ongoing insights into data and analytics of messaging and advise on improvements and changes to strategy and tactics
Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed—escalating issues as necessary based on project work plans
Maintain SharePoint and Teams channel for COO colleagues, including overseeing editorial calendar, and evolve communications channels, as needed
Support the Director, Transformation Communications with external communications and other strategic projects, as needed
Appropriately assess risk as it relates to communications content and tactics, demonstrating particular consideration for safeguarding the firm's reputation, and apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of communications and at least 8 years of increased responsibility for business management, preferably with a large and complex organization
Preferred knowledge of financial regulatory landscape, risk management and controls
Strong communications (written, verbal and interpersonal) skills, including tact, diplomacy, and ability to influence senior executives)
A leader who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to contribute
Digitally savvy with experience working with Microsoft applications and content management systems
Excellent organizational and project management skills
Strategic orientation with the drive to do what’s best for the firm and achieve the desired outcome
Experience or demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment within a heavily matrixed organization
Track record of success in delivering a high-volume work in a fast paced and dynamic environment, ensuring timeliness and quality
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently and work autonomously
Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive professional attitude
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or another related field

$163,600.00 - $245,400.00
