Job Overview

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Trade Structuring Lead Specialist for its New York, NY location.

Duties: Analyze financial or operational performance of companies facing financial difficulties to identify or recommend remedies. Collaborate on projects with other professionals, such as lawyers, accountants, or public relations experts. Collaborate with investment bankers to attract new corporate clients. Confer with clients to restructure debt, refinance debt, or raise new debt. Create client presentations of plan details. Develop and maintain client relationships. Employ financial models to develop solutions to financial problems or to assess the financial or capital impact of transactions. Evaluate capital needs of clients and assess market conditions to inform structuring of financial packages. Monitor developments in the fields of industrial technology, business, finance, and economic theory. Monitor fundamental economic, industrial, and corporate developments by analyzing information from financial publications and services, investment banking firms, government agencies, trade publications, company sources, or personal interviews. Prepare all materials for transactions or execution of deals. Present oral or written reports on general economic trends, individual corporations, and entire industries. Deliver Structured Trade solutions to clients by leading the solutioning and execution in partnership with Sales partners. Ensure maximum alignment of bank’s multi-geography and cross-currency solutions with client’s operating protocols and treasury / credit / business requirements. Understand different buying centers and client relationships and drive origination of new opportunities across the procure-to-pay and order-to-cash cycles by working alongside other coverage partners. Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver seamless execution of corporate treasury and trade solutions, driving overall client satisfaction. Engage with clients and provide diagnostics, benchmarking, and insights across the working capital and trade spectrum and around industry and regulatory landscape. Monitor revenue drivers against the plan and support revenue expansion & realization through increased usage of global trade solutions. Communicate client feedback and market intelligence to partners and participate in the development of execution capabilities. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Engineering (any), Information Management, Financial Technology, or a related field, and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation driving client engagement within the financial services industry. Ten (10) years of experience must include: Analyzing client's operating procedures, organizational structures, and treasury business needs and orchestrating the delivery of structured trade services and solutions; Developing and maintaining client relationships, cultivating and broadening contacts within the client organization, and executing senior client engagements; Engaging with clients in partnership with other coverage partners to ensure seamless delivery and expansion of working capital solutions designed for cash flow optimization, cost & income improvement, financial efficiency enhancement, and digitization; Collaborating with internal stakeholders and partners to ensure efficient and effective implementation of client deals resulting in revenue realization and ramp-ups; and Advocating for client priorities within an organization to serve their working capital and treasury requirements. 40 hrs./wk. 30% domestic travel required.
