The Business Execution Senior Vice President (SVP) role is part of the Global Regulatory and Capital Reporting (GRCR) Team within the Controller’s Organization. The role is an integral part of the Regulatory Compliance function and will report directly to the Regulatory Compliance Head.

This role will have a high level of visibility within the organization and will be responsible for maintaining a strong and disciplined approach to financial management with respect to annual budgeting, forecasting and headcount planning in support of the GRCR Team. The position will also be responsible for driving governance processes supporting EUC reduction management, crisis management and business resiliency and technology investment requests.

The position is expected to develop relationships and collaborate across multiple organizations including Finance, Risk, COO and Technology and will suit a hands-on delivery-focused professional with strong project leadership, communication and presentation skills which are required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual budget/quarterly forecast processes in support of resource planning and management for GRCR.
  • Maintain detailed tracking of the financials and resource plans, monitor expenses to ensure adherence to GRCR budget and identify savings opportunities or risks to meeting plan.
  • Prepare various reporting requirements to support business decision management including financial insights on YTD and forecasted spend to enable management team to make appropriate resourcing and budget decisions.
  • Lead 3rd Party Statement of Work (SOW) requirements including drafting of requirements for consulting engagements and serving as the GRCR account business officer for compliance.
  • Partner with key stakeholders and Technology to understand and drive technology investment requirements.
  • Provide oversight across EUC remediation deliverables and track progress against reductions targets set. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. This involves creating contingency plans and responding to unforeseen challenges.
  • Lead other administrative duties and ad hoc projects as necessary on behalf of the GRCR Business Execution team.
  • Prepare clear and transparent executive/management level reporting.
  • Build strong relationships and partner with key stakeholders to drive execution of requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10-15+ years of experience in the financial services industry; proven extensive financial management, budgeting, headcount management are required; Citi specific experience preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical, strategic and problem-solving skills coupled with strong, broad- based finance and internal control skills.
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills required ability to synthesize key messages and “storytell”. Experience and ease in interfacing with Senior Management preferred.
  • Individual should be flexible, team-oriented, have good follow-up skills with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and dissect/solve complex problems.
  • The candidate must be able to work with teams as well as independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, and the ability to quickly assess and address stakeholder needs.
  • Ability to see the "big picture" without losing attention to detail.
  • Good influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Project.
  • Experience in Citi’s Finance organization and processes that span geographic, functional and business perspectives a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business or related field. MBA preferred.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$163,600.00 - $245,400.00
