Citi’s efforts with compliance with regulatory guidelines require the successful candidate to work full time in the primary office location (Resident).

The Electronic Salestrading role is the primary contact point for both Institutional and Hedge Fund clients trading low-touch equities in NAM. The role involves active day-to-day low-touch salestrading coverage, idea generation, cross product content delivery and market intelligence. Significant overlap with Prime, Generalist/Specialist sales, Trading, Delta1, Equity capital markets and Derivatives. The overall objective of this role is to help grow our electronic market share, generate commission, source liquidity and be a conduit for the customer base into the Equity market.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively cover key accounts in a production role and act as primary point of contact for any/all low touch trading needs

  • Be responsible for P&L and outage management and communication with clients

  • Develop, implement and drive client coverage, acquisition and growth strategy

  • Develop action plans and accountability framework to ensure we achieve our growth and market share goals

  • Market Citigroup’s execution capabilities, contribute to team strategy and deliver a high level of customer service

  • Develop new relationships, cement current relationships and share existing relationships with Citi colleagues

  • Offer certain client full sales trading plus trading coverage and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policy

  • Develop client from acquisition to ownership of high profile institutional accounts

  • Lead strong governance and controls

  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure

  • Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics

  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation

  • Be familiar with and adhere to Citi’s Code of Conduct and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services

  • Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by your role which will be communicated to you

  • Obtain and maintain all registrations/licenses which are required for your role, within the appropriate timeframe

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of sales trading experience

  • In-depth knowledge of equity analysis, market dynamics and fundamentals,

  • In-depth knowledge of financial institutions asset classes and products

  • Proven client relationships and institutional client-specific knowledge

  • Knowledge of equity trading, trading strategies, the market place and market issues

  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Proven negotiation and persuasion skills and fluency in additional languages preferred

  • Must be able to obtain the following licenses: Series 7, 63, 57, 24

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

    Master's degree preferred
