The Relationship Associate is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in their job and the business. They are recognized as a technical authority for an area within the business and require basic commercial awareness. This role typically involves working with multiple individuals across the business who provide similar subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others, particularly colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. This role has a significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. It provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business and impacts an entire area, eventually affecting the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
Build relationships with client network and operational teams, serving as a key contact for internal requests/problem escalation and resolution, and with various internal and external audiences to ensure timely problem resolution.
Partner with Relationship Manager and Product Partners to perform various tasks for Know Your Client (KYC) requirements, including timely origination, liaising and monitoring case renewals and record completion to meet regulatory benchmarks across all product and marketing levels.
Work with stakeholders and product partners to onboard new clients/new subsidiaries for credit, liability, treasury and trade setup completion.
Represent Banking Coverage Team in client meetings and assist with Banker activities in the absence of a Banker, including closing transactions and making decisions, as needed.
Understand AML Policy and liaise with KYC Ops, SAMs, and Country Compliance Officers regarding country-specific policies in the client lifecycle.
Collaborate with Transaction Management, Onboarding, and Internal Partners, including Legal, on documentary and data requirements for deal execution.
Coordinate with internal Compliance organization for approvals related to red flag alerts, OFAC, and complex Compliance Risk matters.
Perform internal client financial identifier creation/maintenance, including mapping and hierarchy data integrity in relevant Citi systems.
Liaise internally and externally regarding Credit Risk deal execution, including Loans, FX, LCs etc., and coordinate credit requests and approvals from Citi's global network.
Work with Service partners to perform financial and operational investigations, including credit, foreign exchange, cash management, and trade services, ensuring timely resolution for client satisfaction.
Help clients access Citi's global network, locating local coverage and product support across the globe.
Engage with product partners and Citi's global network to identify revenue opportunities and position specific products with clients.
Demonstrate a proactive approach in strengthening business relationships with clients, delivering a simple, secure, and seamless client experience.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:
6-10 years of relevant experience, with a broad knowledge of commercial banking products and processes and documentation requirements.
Proven track record of providing sound banking and financial advice and solutions to clients.
Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Strong relationship and portfolio management experience.
Ability to be client-focused and results-oriented.
Comprehensive knowledge of treasury modeling and philosophy (funding model, cash management strategy, decision making, subsidiary support policy, wallet sharing, etc.).
Superior communication and organizational skills, with excellent written and verbal communication competencies.
Highly focused, able to rapidly identify key priorities, and clearly communicate those priorities.
Passion for creating new business opportunities with existing clients and demonstrates innovative approaches to meeting clients' needs.
Able to quickly adapt priorities based on the latest data insights.
Education: Bachelor's degree, Master's degree preferred.

$116,880.00 - $175,320.00
