Job Overview

Citi is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Product Manager to lead the go-to-market strategy, launch, and ongoing growth of a new, state-of-the-art Personal Financial Management (PFM) product. This is a high-visibility, individual contributor role at the forefront of Citi's commitment to delivering innovative digital tools that empower our clients to achieve their financial goals.

As the Product Manager, you will be the voice of the customer and the market expert, responsible for defining the product's value proposition, crafting compelling messaging, and driving market adoption. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, collaborating extensively with a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders to bring this critical product to life and ensure its sustained success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive GTM strategy for the PFM product, including defining the target audience, positioning, messaging, and launch plan to achieve aggressive adoption and engagement targets.

  • Product Launch Leadership: Orchestrate the successful launch of the PFM product, acting as the central point of contact for all marketing-related activities. Ensure seamless coordination and alignment across Product Management, Technology, Brand Marketing, Public Relations, Legal, Compliance, and Customer Support teams.

  • Lifecycle & Growth Marketing: Drive the post-launch marketing roadmap to increase user acquisition, engagement, and retention. Develop and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, email, in-app, social) and analyze their performance to optimize results.

  • Market & Customer Intelligence: Serve as the subject matter expert on the PFM landscape, competitive products, and consumer trends. Partner with the Research team to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis, translating customer insights into actionable recommendations for product and marketing strategies.

  • Value Proposition & Messaging: Craft a clear, differentiated, and compelling value proposition and messaging framework that resonates with the target audience. Ensure this messaging is consistently applied across all customer touchpoints.

  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key partner to a diverse set of internal teams. Engage proactively with Controls and Governance, Oversight, Risk, and Legal partners to ensure all marketing materials and campaigns are fully compliant with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

  • Content & Collateral Development: Oversee the creation of a wide range of marketing assets, including website content, product tutorials, videos, blog posts, email campaigns, and sales enablement materials to support the product's launch and ongoing promotion.

  • Performance Analysis: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for product marketing initiatives. Continuously monitor, analyze, and report on marketing performance to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in product marketing, with a significant portion in B2C financial services, fintech, or a related technology sector.

  • Launch Expertise: Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling consumer-facing digital products. Direct experience with personal finance, budgeting, or investment applications is highly desirable.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.

  • Regulated Environment: Demonstrable experience working within a highly regulated industry, with a strong understanding of the associated controls, governance, and compliance frameworks.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop a long-term vision and translate it into a tactical, actionable plan.

  • Leadership through Influence: Exceptional ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects forward as an individual contributor in a complex, matrixed organization.

  • Exceptional Communicator: Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and present complex information clearly to a variety of audiences, including senior executives.

  • Data-Driven Mindset: Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to use data and customer insights to inform strategy and decision-making.

  • Customer-Obsessed: A deep passion for understanding and championing the needs of the customer.

  • Resilience & Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can effectively manage ambiguity and competing priorities.
