Spring by Citi is Citi’s global digital payment acceptance service for enabling ecommerce (B2C and B2B) funds flow for enterprise merchants across 23 markets around the world. Spring by Citi offers acceptance of locally relevant payment methods and seamless access to Citi’s industry-leading treasury solutions and banking services across Citi’s proprietary global payments network. In combination with Citi’s enhanced reconciliation and reporting capabilities, Spring by Citi offers a wide range of services across clients’ corporate treasury, payment operations, marketing and sales teams.

The North America Product Commercialization Lead will be responsible for driving revenue growth and adoption of Spring by Citi in North America. This requires a deep understanding of the payments landscape, technical proficiency, and strong client engagement skills. This individual will need to be fluent in the intricacies of payments in the U.S. and Canada, including understanding credit/debit card acquiring, mobile wallets, alternate payment methods and traditional banking payment methods. Successful candidates will also understand payments risk dynamics and compliance risk management. The role will report into the Director, Head of Spring, North America.

The role encompasses a blend of strategic, technical, and commercial responsibilities:

  • Revenue Growth: Driving Spring by Citi’s revenue through strategic commercialization including developing an optimized Citi processing solution in partnership with Citi’s Consumer and Commercial Card businesses

  • Technical Bridge: Translating technical product aspects into client-friendly language and ensuring solutions meet client requirements.

  • Collaboration: Working closely with sales, marketing, product, implementation and client coverage teams to identify opportunities and win deals.

  • Client Interaction: Leading discussions with clients, acting as a subject matter expert, and gathering feedback to shape product strategy.

  • Marketing and Sales Enablement: Developing pricing strategies, marketing materials and sales tools to support product adoption.

  • Financial Performance Management: Monitoring product financial performance, identifying opportunities and gaps and developing business strategies.

  • Sales Training: Training sales teams on new Spring by Citi features and capabilities.

  • Risk Management: Assessing and mitigating risks related to payments and compliance.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate possesses significant experience, and a specific skill set:

  • Extensive Payments Industry Experience: 10+ years in payments, with a focus on B2C and B2B payments, payment gateway technology, APIs, card acquiring, APMs, and the global payments landscape.

  • Merchant Focus: Experience working with global merchants, understanding their payment needs, and pitching solutions to their e-commerce teams.

  • Payments Expertise: Ability to design innovative solutions for complex consumer payment needs.

  • Risk Management Knowledge: Understanding of payment risk dynamics and compliance requirements.

  • Commercialization Experience: Experience driving commercialization efforts for new solutions.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$163,600.00 - $245,400.00
