Job Overview

Citibank, N.A. seeks an Investment Quantitative Research Senior Analyst for its New York, NY location.

Duties: Develop and maintain capital market forecast models and compute/generate strategic return estimates across global asset classes. Create long-term strategic asset allocations across risk levels, geographic regions, and reference currencies. Automate quantitative research processes and streamline workflows to increase efficiency. Utilize machine learning or statistical modeling techniques to identify the best economic/financial variables to predict business conditions. Employ quantitative data analysis tools to clean up big financial data. Write statistical programs to create statistical modelling tools to help forecast future company returns. Apply financial knowledge to evaluate asset class attractiveness. Write financial technical documents including model validations. Analyze risk of various companies/asset classes through modern risk management techniques. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Math Finance, Economics, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related quantitative occupation utilizing models to analyze data. Employer will accept pre- or post- Master’s degree experience. Two (2) years of experience must include: Utilizing programming languages including Python or MATLAB to perform statistical modeling, regression analysis, and data cleaning on large scale financial data; Analyzing financial and economic data through statistical/mathematical tools including Python or MATLAB to observe data patterns or potential issues; Building statistical models by choosing the right econometric/statistic methodology to forecast future economic/financial trends; Automating data gathering process through advanced programming of Python to effectively and efficiently collect data from multiple data sources; Utilizing advanced machine learning skills including Random Forest, Neural Network, or Regression Analysis to understand factors impacting financial markets; and Working with large database management and back-testing systems. 40 hrs./wk.
