This specific role sits within our Platform and Data Services (PDS) team which is part of our Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS) function within our Services business.

The role is part of Digital Onboarding Product team responsible for implementing our global digital onboarding strategy across TTS business lines in 90+ countries. The strategy includes the transformation of the operating and engagement model through delivery of self-service and digitized capabilities. We work in a cross functional model to facilitate a consistent experience across all markets. The role is primarily responsible for driving the digitization of TTS products that accompany basic accounts that client open at Citi, such as Payments, Liquidity, Trade. The role aims to digitize the setup of those solutions, so that end to end onboarding process is simpler and faster for our clients. While the role is focused on improvement of client experience, it may also be include executing the regulatory compliance, and it will cover risks and controls linked with the onboarding process.

The digitization efforts currently underway aim to provide a simplified, more controlled and digitized onboarding experience beyond bank account management to product setup experience to drive increased client satisfaction via reduced cycle times for client requests.

What Will You Do?

This role will be focused on leading a cross-functional team of Product Managers delivering our Product Onboarding strategy for Treasury and Trade Solutions. This includes but is not limited to product setup process, sales enablement, pricing workbench via Citi’s digital platforms, while monitoring overall Client Satisfaction.

In this role you will be the primary contact point for all TTS Lines Of Business partners. Their Product Managers will regularly provide their initial requirements and funding for your team to transform into digital journeys of our clients. In addition, you will be the primary contact point for all cluster contacts who will rely upon you and your team to enable last mile delivery of global solutions in local markets across the Onboarding E2E process, while ensuring control enhancements and risk mitigation in the onboarding space.

From an organizational perspective you will be responsible for leading your team's partnership across the products, with regular liaison with onboarding operations and technology, ensuring a cohesive and timely delivery of all aspects of the Global Product Onboarding strategy at any stage of the product lifecycle. In addition, you will be expected to build  expertise on all aspects of the digital solutions managed by your team, acting as the senior escalation point for all non-standard requests and client discussions. As we are all risk managers, you will be expected to continuously showcase enhancements in controls environment for the Onboarding process via mitigation of new emerging risks in the fast pace evolving ecosystem.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Defining and leading the global strategy for Product Onboarding across the TTS business, including management of the product onboarding technology infrastructure and sales enablement tools

  • Driving digitization and standardization of client onboarding, documentation, and product setup processes

  • Partnering with multiple products, sales, operations, technology, and regional teams to simplify processes and improve speed-to-revenue

  • Implementing consistent controls and governance across product onboarding processes, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance

  • Developing and tracking KPIs including cycle time improvements, capability adoption, and client experience metrics

  • Leading and coaching a global team, including direct management of 3–5 employees, fostering a culture of performance, diversity, and innovation

  • Representing the area in global governance forums, steering prioritization and investment decisions

  • Driving global alignment while enabling regional and product-specific customization when required

Note: this role will be supporting multiple time zones and as such will need to work flexibly. Additional flexibility will be needed to handle programmatic deliverables that arise in this space and ensure successful completion of same.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone that will be laser focused on client experience and can drive the onboarding experience for various product groups forward by applying innovative thinking, defining industry leading features and capabilities both for our external customers and the internal stakeholders. Here are a few of the key attributes we will be looking for as part of the recruitment process:

  • 10-15+ years Product Management or Customer Onboarding or Project Management experience preferably in a bank environment with the focus on customer experience;

  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and complex global initiatives

  • Demonstrated expertise in digital onboarding, sales enablement frameworks, and client journey redesign

  • Excellent communication skills – ability to alter communications approach depending on your audience - level of seniority, technical acumen, internal vs. external, etc.;

  • Comfortable to chair senior dialogue in high-pressured environment and manage risk escalation appropriately within the organization;

  • Ability to work and drive cross functional groups of stakeholders, countries, global and regional teams

  • Design thinking- Successfully translate client journeys into business requirements and technical discussions;

  • Ability to think through user problems, find solutions that eliminates manual touch points for our clients;

  • Thought leadership – the ability to form convincing, data-driven opinions on your areas of expertise and articulate those ideas through white-papers, presentations and client interactions.

  • (Highly Preferable) – experience in Design Thinking and/or AGILE techniques to define Epics/Features and User Stories;
