The COO Enterprise Solution Engineering capability is responsible for the development of best-in-class technology platforms for Operations, including development of an integrated portfolio of Operations tools, end-to-end solution design for large scale transformation initiatives, design governance, and adoption of Generative AI solutions for driving operational efficiencies.
This role is for an innovative Generative AI Engineer to drive the adoption of Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic flows, focusing on process efficiencies, automation, simplification, and risk reduction across enterprise business solutions. The successful candidate will contribute to the technical direction of products and services, in still engineering best practices. This position involves close collaboration with various technology teams to push the adoption of Generative AI technologies and agentic flows across enterprise-wide applications and processes, and to develop partnerships with third-party providers for validating and adopting best-of-breed solutions.
Contribute significantly to both engineering and research initiatives within the Generative AI domain.
Adopt a product-focused approach, ensuring the development of robust, scalable, and user-friendly solutions.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment by continuously testing, learning, and tackling cutting-edge problems.
Actively engage in pair programming, promote lean methodologies, and streamline processes by removing unnecessary bureaucracy.
Prioritize rapid delivery and iterative development, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to pivot rather than pursuing a perfect upfront solution.
Develop foundational components and mature technology capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Drive the enterprise-wide adoption and successful integration of Generative AI solutions.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive learning mindset, continuously acquiring new skills.
Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills, effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Be adaptable and resourceful in navigating complex technical and organizational challenges
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating sound ethical judgment and particular consideration for the firm's reputation, its clients and assets
Required Technical Expertise:
Deep hands-on experience in engineering and executing enterprise solutions that scale effectively.
Tean building, people management, and mentoring skills.
Fluency in at least two programming languages, with a strong preference for Python and Java. Proficiency in Javascript/Typescript and Golang is also highly valued.
Strong understanding of Language Models (LLMs), transformers, agentic frameworks, vector stores, and search algorithms.
Experience with relevant frameworks such as Spring (AI, Boot, Core, etc.), N8N, Flask, LangChain, LangGraph, ADK, and MLFlow.
Familiarity with one of the major cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure
Experience in building complex RAG applications
Experience in building AI Agent workflows using an AI orchestration platform such as LangGraph, Crew AI, Autogen or ADK
Proficiency in database technologies, such as Oracle, Postgres, or MongoDB.
Experience with messaging and integration platforms like Kafka or JMS/MQ.
UI development skills with technologies such as React JS, Gradio, StreamLit.
Experience designing and implementing REST and WebSocket APIs.
Familiarity with one of the major cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure
Strong knowledge of infrastructure tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
Experience with build and deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins and Gradle.
Good engineering experience with high-performance, large-scale AI/ML systems.
Experience in model risk management, guardrails development, and developing end-user adoption pathways for AI/GenAI solutions.
General Experience & Qualifications:
15+ years of professional experience in financial services.
Strong hands-on experience with Agile delivery, product management, and value stream methodologies.
Proven track record in producing high-quality project artifacts and senior management reports within technology or risk & controls domains.
Demonstrated ability to structure and lead product working groups, driving consensus on requirements and facilitating the development and implementation of processes, data, and system designs.
Motivated self-starter with the ability to quickly learn new skills and effectively navigate complex organizational structures.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
