Job Overview

The Global Markets In-Business Risk (IBR) is a Front Office 1st Line of Defense team responsible for market risk across asset classes within Citi’s Global Markets division. The team aims to establish a holistic understanding of market risk and capital of the aggregated trading portfolio, as well as to optimize the business’s return on capital. Global Markets IBR covers all trading businesses globally such as Rates and Currencies, Global Spread Products, Commodities, and Global Equities.

The In Business Risk team is seeking a motivated and technical individual to contribute to the development of data and reporting tools for Market Risk and Risk-Weighted Asset (RWA) management.

This position offers the opportunity to engage in challenging data analytics, understanding of different trading products, and to collaborate with quants, technology, and 2nd line Market Risk teams.

Responsibilities:

●        Develop data analytics tools in collaboration with technology, quants, and the asset class IBR team to enhance efficiency in 1st line risk management.

●        Conduct hands-on data analysis related to Value-at-Risk (VAR), Stress Testing, and RWA for Markets.

Qualifications:

●        3+ years of experience in Technology/Data Roles within Financial Services.

●        Strong proficiency in Python and SQL programming skills.

●        Experience with Tableau/PowerBI or other dashboard tools.

●        Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills, particularly when working with Technology.

●        Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships with staff and clients.

●        Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.

●        Proven track record of successfully managing in a large and complex business environment.

●        Intellectual curiosity, analytical aptitude, and conceptual thinking skills.

●        Proactive in seeking and developing new opportunities.

●        Thorough financial acumen and Profit & Loss (P&L) management experience.

●        Excellent analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills.

●        Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with senior members of an organization.

●        Self-aware, with the ability to adapt to various situations, rapidly assimilate information, and report on complex topics while contributing to a future vision.

Education:

●        Bachelor's/University degree required, Master's degree preferred.

●        Preferably Engineering, Statistics, or Finance concentration.
