Job Overview
Citi's U.S. in-house creative agency, Skyline, is seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Creative Director to lead its creative vision and strategy. Skyline is a dynamic and innovative agency dedicated to producing high-impact marketing assets that resonate with our domestic audience. This pivotal role will shape the creative direction of all in-house campaigns, driving brand consistency and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within a rapidly growing team. This position requires a proven record of success in leading copy and design through branding initiatives across upper and lower funnel marketing channels. The primary responsibility of the in-house agency is to provide their partners with innovative and dynamic assets that adhere to brand guidelines, the client's central messaging, and ADA compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the overall creative direction, strategy, and innovation for all in-house agency projects, ensuring compelling storytelling and visual excellence.
- Oversee and mentor a team of Creative Directors and staff, ensuring consistent quality across diverse marketing channels (print, visual design, video production, UX/UI, etc.).
- Direct the Quality Assurance team, including a Lead and proofreaders, to ensure all creative assets meet high standards prior to release.
- Present creative strategies and project impact to senior leadership, articulating rationale and expected outcomes.
- Be at the forefront of AI, best in class tools and processes across the creative organization to drive efficiency and improve marketing effectiveness.
- Work closely with Brand Management, the U.S. Advertising team, and other execution partners on campaign planning, pre-bids, and contracts to define requirements for insourcing.
- Provide insightful and innovative input during the review of complex creative projects, driving original and impactful solutions.
- Act as the in-house expert for brand and ADA compliance, ensuring all creative output adheres to regulatory and quality standards.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience, including 8-10+ years' managerial experience
- Agency experience (in-house agency experience is a plus)
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Cloud
- A proven history of design fundamentals (including typography, color theory, brand adherence and critical thinking with regards to creative application)
- Visionary leader capable of inspiring creative professionals and influencing senior stakeholders to deliver exceptional work that resonates with our target audience and delivers profitable growth
- In depth knowledge of ADA compliance as it pertains to marketing collateral
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to clearly and effectively discuss projects
- Successful experience partnering with internal clients and senior leaders
- Outstanding organizational, project management and communication skills, complimented with strong partnership capabilities
- Ability to inspire creative professionals, fostering a high performance, collaborative environment
- Ambitious self-starter, adept at thriving in fast-paced, innovative and rapidly evolving industries.
- Ability to adhere to a process calendar
- Ability to successfully collaborate with local and remote team members
- A BA or higher in marketing or a related field
- Mac literacy

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:
$170,000.00 - $300,000.00
