Job Overview

Citi Community Capital ("CCC") is the community lending and investing arm of Citi, housed in in the Global Spread Products (“GSP”) vertical within Markets. Unique among its peers, CCC provides a comprehensive array of financial products from lending and equity investment to investment banking designed to create strong communities and contribute toward Citibank’s Community Reinvestment Act (“CRA”) performance.

CCC works with for-profit and non-profit developers, as well as state and local government agencies on both straightforward and highly structured transactions that may use a combination of taxable and tax-exempt loans or bonds, Low Income Housing Tax Credit equity, and governmental and private subsidies. CCC provides capital directly or as an intermediary. CCC is a construction lender and a permanent lender, a Fannie Mae DUS lender and a Freddie Mac Optigo lender. CCC also acts as principal in unique equity investments – all designed to improve neighborhoods, create jobs, or improve the health care services or educational opportunities available to the communities we serve.

CCC’s team of experienced professionals are able to provide creative financing solutions that are specifically designed to meet each client’s needs. 

CCC is looking to add an Analyst in our Securitization, Lending and Investing (SLI) Group, focused on CCC’s Securitization Platform. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support CCC’s affordable housing securitization team in the structuring and execution of securitization transactions including underlying loan due diligence, document preparation and review, coordination of investor and rating agency site visits, data tape analysis and diligence and coordination with 3rd party underwriters

  • Provide transaction support to the collateral team, including, but not limited to, (i) maintaining the securitization platform’s execution history, (ii) collect and organize transaction reimbursement expenses and (iii) draft materials for third party report orders and pool proposals

  • Manage the loan modification process, including internal approvals, credit analytics, outreach to clients and implementation

  • Manage the organization of transaction and due diligence documentation

  • Review, manage and report on loan level status on insurance (e.g., expiring policies, waivers, etc.) and collateral changes (e.g., easements, ownership changes, etc.)

  • Research loan level property conditions, loan payment history and environmental issues, where applicable

  • Collaborate with internal and external collateral teams, requesting missing diligence materials, troubleshooting data room issues and researching diligence gaps or ambiguities

  • Proficiently read and review loan documents, recreate amortization schedules and analyze servicing and documentation discrepancies

  • Prioritize, build and maintain relationships with clients, internal teams and external partners

  • Efficiently multi-task on deliverables/projects and prioritize appropriately

  • Research and report on special projects, as needed

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS with emphasis in real estate, business or economics preferred

  • 1-2 years experience in banking, consulting or finance preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multi-task under tight deadlines

  • Excellent MS Excel and quantitative analysis and spreadsheet skills are required

  • Ability to create high-quality PowerPoint presentations

  • The candidate will be required to pass all necessary FINRA exams and licensing requirements
