The Investment Banking group provides sector expertise and advisory solutions, including mergers & acquisitions, capital raising and other strategic financings to corporate, financial service and public sector clients.

We're committed to teaching you the ropes. The 10-week Summer Analyst Program starts in June and begins with a 1-week in-depth training program. While you're in the Summer Analyst role, you're eligible to participate in Citi's mentorship program, which will provide further training and guidance during and after the Program. Top performing Summer Analysts often return to Citi after graduation to work as Full Time Analysts.

The Strategic Advisory Solutions team is a critical and growing part of the Mergers & Acquisitions Group focused on advising Citi’s global clients and their boards of directors on issues related to shareholder activism, takeover defense, contested M&A, corporate governance, and investor dynamics. You will play an important role working together with more senior Investment Banking officers and participating in particular client transactions and live projects. In addition to preparing client materials, you will work directly with senior leaders in the M&A group to generate novel and differentiated analytics, platforms and tools to improve our understanding of clients’ shareholders and create efficiency and scale. You will be required to balance a broad set of deliverables ranging from direct client work to developing insightful and practical analytical models and will therefore require strong time management and communication skills in combination with core technical abilities.

*You are graduating between December 2027 and June 2028 and have a preferred GPA of 3.5 or above with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics, and/or closely related areas.

We'll also be looking for the following:
Proper performance of the duties of the Summer Analyst position requires the theoretical and practical application of a body of highly specialized knowledge. Accordingly, the academic requirement for assuming the Summer Analyst position is ongoing attainment a Bachelor-level degree with concentrated coursework in Data Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics, and/or closely related areas.

$100,000.00 - $135,000.00
