We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Big Data Engineer to spearhead the development and maintenance of our global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) application. This role requires a strong technical background in AbInitio, Spark, Scala, and other Big Data technologies, along with proven leadership and mentoring skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate about staying current with technological advancements, including AI, and possess excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience with Abinitio, Talend, and Oracle is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a global team of developers in designing, developing, testing, and deploying the AML application.

• Provide deep technical expertise in Spark, Scala, and other Big Data technologies.

• Mentor and guide global teams on technical frameworks and best practices.

• Stay abreast of the latest technologies, including AI/ML, and explore their potential applications in AML.

• Contribute to the development and enhancement of technical frameworks for AML application development.

• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different geographical locations and functional areas.

• Ensure optimal performance and scalability of the AML application.

• Identify and resolve complex technical challenges related to AML application development.

• Drive innovation and explore new approaches to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of AML processes.

• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record of leading and managing global development teams in a Big Data environment.

• Strong technical proficiency in Spark, Scala, and other related Big Data technologies.

• A good understanding of AML principles, regulations, and best practices.

• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their potential applications in AML.

• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• 6+ Years of applications development experience.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.

• Experience with Abinitio, Talend, and Oracle is a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$125,760.00 - $188,640.00
