AVP - Accounting Controls Loan Doc & Proc Sr Analyst
Description: The Loan Doc & Proc Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional and plays a critical role within the Accounting Controls Team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in performing analysis of financial data and researching and remediating complex breaks. This role requires a deep understanding of the accounting flows of Lending Products and excellent communication skills, which are required to remediate subledger breaks across various loan processing groups within Lending Operations. The Loan Doc & Proc Sr Analyst is accountable for driving results in line with critical deliverables and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed analysis of subledger reporting to identify source of breaks and determine path to remediation.
- Drive elimination of significant quantity of subledger breaks to ensure compliance with critical deliverables and deadlines.
- Conduct root cause analysis on issues identified in subledger reporting and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Technology, Finance, Operations, Data Office) to address underlying process or data errors.
- Identify key data attributions within subledger reporting and apply proper accounting flows of Loan Products to accurately remediate residual balances.
- Process transactions within the product processer as applicable to remediate breaks
- Work closely with finance, operations, and IT teams to implement system fixes or process changes as necessary to ensure accuracy of subledger.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all remediation actions, providing regular updates to senior management on progress, issues, and resolution.
- Support management on reporting and projections of outstanding breaks and remaining items to remediate.
- Establish new reconciliations and substantiation controls to prevent and detect any new residual balances reported on liquidated contracts
Qualifications:
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Proven financial analysis skills
- Proficiency in analyzing large data sets and financial software systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly & collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced-environment
- Knowledge of Loan Products and/or Loan Operations
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in project management initiatives related to finance or regulatory compliance initiatives
- CPA License
- Experience with Flexcube and/or LoanIQ
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar discipline

$78,080.00 - $117,120.00
