Team/Role Overview
The Business Associate is a senior level position responsible for supporting Local Markets Treasury (LMT) to design and deliver business and technical solutions on strategic business priorities / initiatives, controls and governance, and regulatory requirements specific to LMT. These tasks may include managing internal/external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Associate may coordinate and manage activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs as necessary, and manage ad hoc projects as requested.
Markets Treasury is globally responsible for managing Citi’s Bank liquidity outside of the US Markets
What you’ll do
- Work in close partnership with Markets Treasury business in the countries and the global business execution managers to coordinate efforts and help ensure successful implementation of business projects related to internal and regulatory commitments, and other business initiatives
- Work in close partnership with control functions such as Citi Treasury, Risk groups, Controllers, Finance, and other supporting functions to set up appropriate governance and controls
- Lead coordination and production of materials for various management meetings, including staff meetings, town halls, monthly business reviews, and team off-sites
- Assist in activities such as the tracking of business financials, managing employee headcount or coordination of other administrative needs
- Provide support with analysis and feedback on relevant business issues, and lead remediation plans where necessary
- Drive productivity/ cost savings initiatives in partnership with the senior management team
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
What we’ll need from you
- 6-10 years of experience in a financial services role
- Ability to conduct research/analysis, organize findings and build presentations
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables within aggressive timeframes; ability to cope under time pressure
- Knowledge on Markets & Treasury products, Balance Sheet, Liquidity Management, and regulatory requirements preferred, but not required
- Strong PowerPoint, Excel and Data analytics skill
- Working knowledge of Citi is a plus
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
