Job Overview
Citi is looking for a Data & Business Analyst to join our team, to perform analysis and build high performance Analytical Dashboards used by B&I Management. This Data & Business Analyst - will work within one or more teams across B&I Data and the subject matter experts from Front-Office, Finance, Market / Credit Risk to design, validate and implement both minimum viable products (MVP) as well as ready to deploy solutions. This role also assesses, evaluates, and analyzes data challenges and provide recommendations on their resolution. Requires in-depth understanding of data and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build and enhance high-performance, data-intensive solution from all the way to data acquisition, rendering, visualization, and distribution.
- Work with the business and IT teams to build technical solutions, using variety of data sources and create vivid and impactful analytical dashboard.
- Build and enhance existing data quality process to ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness of various dashboard and reports.
- Designs/analyzes complex reports to satisfy management requirements.
- Leads reengineering efforts in business's methodology, strategy, and organizational goals.
- Manages overall projects and contributes to identifying solutions for business reporting issues.
- Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience, Banking or Finance industry preferred, with hands-on experience within one or more area
- Finance / FP&A / Controllers Team, understands the products / process
- Credit Risk / Market Risk / Operations Risk
- Markets / Services / Wealth Products Team
- Exposure to use of SQL, Python, Tableau or Power BI.
Must understand the business technology landscape, the ability to design reports, and strong analytical skills.
- Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives.
- Adaptable, creative, resourceful, well organized team player with a strong work ethics.
- Communicates effectively, develops, and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels.
- Effective collaborator, by being able to build relationship and partnership s with others to meet shared objective.
- Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.
- Proficient in the use of basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree. CFA is a big plus.
