Job Overview

The Product Owner is an organized professional who maintains and prioritizes requirements to align to the overall product vision. Individuals must be able to articulate the product vision through an iterative roadmap while successfully prioritizing the requirements through an agile environment. Prospective candidates should have experience in delivering key functionalities that support a larger end to end workflow, particularly in a Wholesale Lending environment. Applicants must be able to interpret policies and business procedures while identifying areas for simplification. Developed communication and presentation skills are required to ensure senior management is made aware of any risk or blockers.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the product vision aligned to a target operating model and the ability to deliver in iterations towards the future state.
  • Responsible for engaging stakeholders, collecting requirements and coordinating the user acceptance testing (“UAT”) of system enhancements.
  • Ability to review Citi’s Policies and translate into technical requirements for systematic enforcement while incorporating regulatory and compliance alignment.
  • Assisting with Quarterly Planning ensuring that all epics and stories are properly groomed, pointed, and coordinated with all cross-stream dependencies.
  • Assisting in UAT events and ensuring all relevant Readiness Events/Business Impact Analysis milestones are accomplished.
  • Identifies risks/blockers and supports manager in determining potential resolutions.
  • Ability to interpret large sets of data and present to stakeholders to enable data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to document current business processes and identifying areas for improvement in both technology and process.
  • Ability to draft materials for presentation to stakeholders to support enhancement opportunities.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
  • Follows market, industry and client trends to own field and adapts them for application Citi’s products and solutions platforms


Qualifications:

  • 5 - 8 years of experience
  • Direct experience in end-to-end project delivery, preferably in an agile environment.
  • Knowledge of agile ceremonies.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others with or without direct authority
  • Previous experience working in a multinational financial institution, with Wholesale Credit Risk experience a plus.
  • Ability to manage and effectively communicate complex issues along with recommendations for next steps to management.
  • Project Management skills with experience leading large cross functional initiatives
  • Working knowledge of applications such as JIRA and MS Office.
  • Ability to effectively communicate business requirements through user stories.
  • Performing root-cause analysis and recommending data driven solutions
  • Experience creating mock-ups to drive UI/UX design discussions.
  • Establishing a healthy rapport with all stakeholders, business users, and other product workstreams.

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
