Job Overview
The Operations Manager is a professional responsible for supporting the strategic and operational leadership for Global Hospitality Services (GHS) across India. This role is dedicated to assisting in elevating the workplace experience, enhancing client perception, and fostering critical colleague engagement. As a key support for India GHS operations, this role contributes to service excellence, operational governance, and adherence to global standards. It involves supporting the country team in uplifting operational standards and alignment, effectively communicating GHS product knowledge to leverage best support from suppliers and Citi representatives, and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of high-quality services through efficient management of vendor and people operations within a dynamic and strategically important hub. This position plays a pivotal role in assisting in delivering cost-effective, high-quality solutions, adeptly managing multiple priorities, and fostering effective remote team operations, thereby reinforcing Citi's leadership in hospitality excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Operations Excellence: Contribute to operations excellence and vendor management, assisting in overseeing performance, issue management, and corporate social responsibilities across the Indian region.
Strategic & People Management Support: Support the Operations Manager as a subject matter expert, assisting in uplifting operational standards, people management, and project management initiatives.
Service & Compliance Oversight: Assist in ensuring continuous service improvement, operational compliance, and alignment with global standards for GHS products in India, contributing to a consistently superior experience for clients and colleagues.
Financial & Reporting Assistance: Support the management of operational budgets, assist in identifying efficiency opportunities, and contribute to statistical reporting to maintain system integrity, governance controls, and risk mitigation.
Regulatory Adherence & Risk Management Support: Assist in coordinating and implementing Compliance guidelines, managing sensitive information confidentially. Support the implementation of robust control measures to proactively minimize reputational risk, particularly regarding high-impact areas like food incidents and health and safety.
Knowledge/Experience:
Operations & Management Experience: 5-8 years of proven operations experience, with a strong emphasis on hospitality, ideally within executive, food & beverage, or related services, including multi-site and multi-service corporate environments.
Vendor & Client Management: Demonstrated experience in third-party vendor management, client liaison, and relationship management.
Process & Controls Acumen: Fundamental understanding of operational controls and associate processes.
Qualifications:
Education: University degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major.
Experience: 5-8 years of relevant working experience.
Certifications: Professional certifications in Food Safety Management (e.g., HACCP) and/or Managerial Leadership (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma) are highly desirable.
