Job Overview
The C10 - Operations Readiness Lead for the Trade Transformation team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless implementation and adoption of strategic initiatives within Citi's Global Trade & Working Capital business. This role involves foremost efforts to prepare operations for new products training to train internal and external stakeholders, active participation in processes, and technology enhancements, driving efficiency, and contributing to the overall strategic objectives of the Trade Transformation roadmap. The successful candidate will leverage strong analytical capabilities and communication skills to bridge strategic vision with operational execution, ensuring our global operations are robust, efficient, and future-ready.
This role requires passion to understand system changes and new capabilities and tie them to operations processes by creating training materials and providing trainings to operations teams. Focus on BoW to coordinate, track, and drive system Sanity and PVT.
The role requires providing visibility to senior management on the changes and corresponding commercialization and realization of ROI.
Responsibilities:
- Manage complex operational readiness projects for key Trade Transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and business requirements.
- Collaborate closely with product development, technology, operations, and other cross-functional teams to define operational requirements and design future-state processes.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing operational workflows and identify potential impacts of new initiatives, proposing solutions to mitigate risks and optimize processes.
- Develop comprehensive operational process documentation, and training materials to support successful deployment and adoption of new capabilities.
- Drive change management activities, ensuring operational teams are well-prepared, trained, and equipped to manage new processes and systems effectively.
- Represent Operations Readiness in various forums, providing clear, concise, and impactful updates to senior stakeholders on project status, risks, and achievements.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, proactively identifying opportunities for operational efficiency and recommending solutions.
- Ensure adherence to all internal Citi policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordination of Production Validation Testing for Trade products.
- Weekend Sanity testing Coordination for Trade products along with testing Sign off coordination, including working late hours for Sanity/PVT delivery.
- Demo and Training for new functions and creation of training material.
- Ad hoc Ops projects coordination.
- SME support to Ops for all Trade Products and systems.
- Commercialization tracking and reporting.
- Work in partnership with vendors, technology, and client operations teams to prototype innovative solutions
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a related role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written skills
- Effective analytic and presentation skills
- Stake holder management/co-ordination and/or Project Implementation/Commercialization experience with Agile methodology.
- Knowledge of Trade Finance products and operations, including but not limited to Supply Chain Finance, Letters of Credit, Guarantees, and Collections.
- Strong understanding of Trade Working Capital solutions, particularly in Payment Receivables and associated financing mechanisms.
- Familiarity with e-loans (electronic loan processing platforms or digital lending solutions) within a trade finance context is highly advantageous.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, cross-functional projects.
Skills:
- Exceptional Advanced Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, draw meaningful conclusions, and translate insights into actionable operational strategies. Proficient in using analytical tools and methodologies for problem-solving and process optimization.
- Highly Effective PowerPoint Presentation Skills: Demonstrated ability to create clear, compelling, and executive-level presentations that effectively communicate complex ideas, project progress, and strategic recommendations to diverse audiences, including senior management.
- Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills: Superior ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely, both in written documentation and verbal discussions.
- Outstanding Command over English: Native or near-native fluency in English, with impeccable grammar, spelling, and vocabulary, essential for global communication and documentation.
- Self-Starter and Self-Motivated: Proactive, independent, and capable of taking initiative with minimal supervision. Demonstrates strong ownership and accountability for outcomes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid understanding of change management principles and their application in large-scale transformations.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence) and methodologies.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, Master's degree preferred.
- Trade domain related certifications.
