Job Overview
Whether you're building on early career experience or taking your next step in financial services, this is your opportunity to grow with one of the world's most global banks. As a Credit Intermediate Analyst, Officer at Citi, you will support end-to-end credit underwriting and portfolio monitoring across commercial and institutional banking relationships — working alongside Credit Officers, Relationship Managers, and Risk partners to deliver high-quality credit analysis that directly shapes lending decisions across Corporate Banking, Services, and Markets.
Responsibilities
- Prepare credit analysis and underwriting materials for new and existing clients, contributing to first-line credit assessments across commercial and institutional portfolios.
- Conduct financial statement and cash flow reviews to support underwriting recommendations and credit approval documentation.
- Monitor assigned portfolio performance, including covenant tracking and periodic financial reviews, to identify and escalate emerging risk indicators.
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual credit reviews, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all documentation and reporting.
- Support the processing of credit renewals, amendments, and related transactions by coordinating documentation across internal teams.
- Collaborate with global stakeholders across Credit, Banking, and Risk to support the execution of credit processes and cross-functional workflows.
- Build knowledge of commercial banking products, credit structures, and industry dynamics through active participation in training and on-the-job development.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 2-5 years of experience in banking, finance, accounting, or a related financial services field.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a closely related discipline.
- Working knowledge of financial statements and core accounting concepts, with the ability to apply this to credit analysis tasks.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to convey complex or sensitive information across global teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks independently, apply sound judgment, and maintain strong attention to detail in analysis and reporting.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- Prior internship or work experience in credit analysis, commercial banking, or a related lending environment.
- Exposure to international banking, shared service centres, or cross-border financial services environments.
- Familiarity with credit monitoring processes, covenant tracking, or portfolio review cycles.
