Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Associate to support the Business Execution & Financial Governance Lead for the Risk Technology Business Execution team. This role is pivotal in ensuring robust financial governance, seamless resource management, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial lifecycle of contracts, overseeing data integrity across multiple systems, and providing strategic support to leadership through reporting, analysis, and process simplification initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Financial & Contract Management:

  • Manage the creation of Resources@Citi (R@C) records for various contract types, including Fixed Price Contract SOWs, Software Purchases & Maintenance, and Time & Material (T&M) IMW contracts.
  • Conduct assessments for any required Amendments or Write-downs based on actual resourcing levels and financial spend.
  • Diligently review and process invoice payments for non-direct staff contractor spend, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the renewal process for Statements of Work (SOWs), aligning with strategic updates from Vendor Management and providing timely escalations and feedback.

Reporting & Data Governance:

  • Develop and maintain a strong repository and regular cadence of reports covering Financial Governance and Book of Work alignment.
  • Identify and resolve breaks in data feeds across multiple systems, including PTS, Resources@Citi (R@C), and Investments@Citi, to ensure data accuracy.
  • Monitor and assess the time booking of resources to ensure alignment with project allocations and budgets.

Strategic & Operational Support:

  • Design and provide essential day-to-day support to Business Enablement (BE) Leads on initiatives related to Process Simplification, Standardization, and ad-hoc analysis.
  • Take ownership of assembling, developing, and structuring high-quality presentation decks for senior leadership and client reporting.
  • Facilitate functional resource transfers between different departments or initiatives as required.
  • Provide timely support for other ad-hoc requests, stretch assignments, and projects as they arise, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Risk, Compliance, and Control

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.



Job Skills:

  • Must demonstrate energy and dedication, be goal-oriented and self-driven.
  • Strong understanding of financial management related to SOWs, vendor contracts, and resource planning.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, financial reporting, and resolving data integrity issues.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills  - follow through to complete project with minimal supervision
  • Proven success in establishing relationships with various stakeholders and technology groups
  • Ability  to work independently or as part of a team – being able to collaborate in a remote team setting and work with global teams
  • Act as contact point for all information relating to business unit, train users as necessary.
  • Proven ability to execute against aggressive timelines and within an environment of organizational change.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail
  • Experience with internal financial systems like PTS and R@C is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in a Business Office / Strategy & Planning in Experience with internal financial systems like PTS and R@C is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office product suite especially Excel and PowerPoint; Proficiency and comfortable in managing large complex databases
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills; Articulates complex concepts and issues clearly and eloquently to a diverse range of stakeholders such as technology teams and senior managers
  • Prior Citi experience with good references and track record would be preferred.


Education:

Bachelor’s Degree/University degree, Masters Degree preferred or equivalent experience
